When the Righteous Are in Authority

9/1/2015

Dear reader. I don't personally know the authors of this writing. Neither do I ask you to send donations to their organization. But, I do ask that you consider what they say in this article

(James Baker / preacher of the Mt Airy church of Christ)

Proverbs 29:2 states, "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan..." The question is...are Americans rejoicing or groaning today?

Considering the 'current' state of the union, and in light of the Scripture above, one must conclude that the current administration has contributed much pain to the American citizenry. And if Americans are indeed groaning then one must admit that those who are currently in authority do not fit within the definition of 'righteousness' before Almighty God.

As I observed in a previous newsletter, the problems of our nation are more than just political in nature, but rather spiritual at the root. As a nation, we have turned from God, rejected His commandments, His precepts, and His statutes. We have deviated from Christian standards and values, despised traditional marriage and family and no longer protect the rights of the unborn. All that is righteous and true seem to have taken a back seat in decisions made by our leaders today, resulting in a spiritual decline in our nation.

CAAP is a unique organization with an original mission standing on the front lines of this spiritual battle. We will not cease to place the spotlight on family, faith, marriage, life, and on the values we hold dear. We can't do this work alone, so we appreciate your financial support. Please take a moment to make a donation TODAY!

Some current political leaders have given their stamp of approval on all things LGBT and same-sex marriage is now law of the land, albeit illegitimately! They have embraced abortion and continue to support Planned Parenthood, which murders babies and sells their body parts for a profit. We have political corruption in our land. We have anti-Christian policies permeating our society. And so the people groan. The continued suffering present within our nation is a direct result of the multitude of 'ungodly' policies instituted by this administration against people of faith. Moreover, many of those serving in the Congress have put "their" own political ambitions above what is in the "best" interest of the citizenry. And so the people groan.

I submit to you that unless we as a body of believers elect individuals who respect our faith and the standards with which God ordained for us as a people and a nation, we will continue to groan. The homosexual movement is expanding and stretching its tentacles into every imaginable and unimaginable aspect of our society. Much of our news today is shocking and disturbing that it's difficult to find anything positive. So, the people groan.

It appears that the 'transformation' that was promised by this administration is working. First, you corrupt the government by electing and appointing corrupt politicians and together they put in place corrupt laws that eventually trickle down to even the most vulnerable places: public schools. No longer are virtues extolled in our public schools, but instead they are indoctrinating an entire generation of children with all things LGBT. And the people groan.

This administration continues to pass laws that go against our faith and could take years to overturn. We must continue to push back so that there is no more destruction left for us to rebuild. Please join us today in this fight by sending your best gift TODAY. Help us stay in the fight for faith, family, and justice.

Lastly, please stay tuned for news and information concerning our regional meetings we will be hosting beginning this September. We are also in the early stages of forming CAAP chapters, so please be sure to follow our newsletters and FB page. Also, a contribution of any amount is appreciated to help us in our endeavors. Please click here to donate NOW. Thanks!

We have a unique assignment that we are compelled to do. Please pray daily for our efforts and send your very best financial gift today. No gift is too small, and every gift is appreciated.

Faithfully,
Bill and Deborah Owens
