In 1 Corinthians 11:15, we learn that the long hair of a woman is given as her glory. Some preachers teach that it is a sin for a woman to cut her hair; but that isn't what the bible said. A woman is free to cut her hair and fix it up as she chooses. The only thing she shouldn't do is cut and fix it in such a way that the glory departs. Now one may wonder, "how is that possible?" Well, the best way I can explain it is like this; if a woman cuts or wears her hair in such a way that it becomes difficult to figure out the sex; then glory is gone. Long hair isn't so much defined by the inches, but rather by the fact that the female hair displays who she is. Some women cannot grow hair that reaches down to the shoulders, yet they keep their hair in such a way that female glory is still intact. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. We are all “God's Children” in the sense that we are His creation (Genesis 1:26-27; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 12:9). On another note, we are all “God's children” in the sense that we have a relationship with Him because we obey His word and live by His commandments daily (Matthew 5:9, Luke 20:35-36; Romans 9:25-26; Galatians 3:26-29; Ephesians 1:4-5; Hebrews 2:13, John 15:14; John 11:52; Eph. 5:1-6). But in no way are we “children of God” in every sense. If we aren't living in accordance with the law of God, we are not His children; instead, we are the “children of Satan,” (Eph. 2:2-3; 1 John 3:8-10; John 8:39-44). Those who are living in violation of the word of God are in sin; and by dwelling in sin, there can be no fellowship with God (2 John 9; Isaiah 59:1-14). Seems like every so often we hear someone say, “we are all God's children.” Well in the creation sense we sure are, but not in the spiritual sense. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Some marriages are great and some aren't. Some people are working daily to improve their marriages and some people aren't doing anything. Some people have ended their marriages and others would never dream of doing such without God's authority. You see, the Lord doesn't accept “irreconcilable differences” as a reason to file for divorce. Satan has invented many things and the term “irreconcilable differences” is his handy work (2 Corinthians 2:11). Problems in marriage must be expected and those problems must be worked out because failure to do so isn't an option. God has said that adultery on the part of one partner gives the faithful partner the right to divorce the offender (Matthew 5:31–32; Mark 10:11–12; Luke 16:18; Romans 7:1–4; Matt. 19:1–9). So the faithful spouse can put the offender away or keep the cheating offender, the choice is left up to him or her. People must enter marriage resolved to solve problems and determined to remain unto death. Hope'to hear from you or see you at the services. America to Almighty God in Heaven, we have a message for you. “We don't want you trying to tell us how to live with that Bible, it's our lives and we'll live them as we want. We are sick and tired of hearing about Jesus, and we don't give a hoot about Him dying for our sins. We don't want your gift of marriage; we would rather shack up. We don't want the opposite sex you created, we want same sex for companionship.” “Don't have Christians telling us we need to go to church, we will make our own way in life. And that book the Bible—you can have it back, we've got our own books: the Koran, the book of Morman, and other books that men have written. etc. Good morals, who needs them? We want fornication, drunkness, smoking, drugs, and just getting wildand having a good time! Men want bad girls and women want bad boys, because good boys and good girls are no fun. In closing we would like you to grant us one last request oh Lord. 'Bless America our home sweet home.'” Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. A lot of churches teach that it is sinful for people to eat certain foods. These same folks also teach that certain foods must only be eaten on certain days. For example, fish on Fridays and certain meals for so-called Holy days or holidays; and don't dare go near that piece of ham! In the Old Testament, the people of God were commanded to eat certain foods (Leviticus 11). The Bible makes this perfectly clear, however many fail to understand that the Old Testament isn't binding on men today. The Old Testament has ceased to be binding on men because Jesus ended it with his death on the cross, and since that time men have been governed by the law of Christ which is the New Testament (Hebrews 8:6–13; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Heb. 9:1–17; Heb. 10:1–18; Colossians 2:14–17; Matthew 26:26–29). The law of Christ has said that men would teach false doctrines by telling people that they cannot eat certain things which God has commanded to be received with thanksgiving. Under the New Testament you can eat anything you want, and that is anything, for all kinds of meat are good and can be eaten, providing we give thanks (1 Timothy 4:1–5; Acts 27:35).
