This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
Just when you think it has been all said, someone comes along and shocks you again. Hollywood has a movie coming out next month that claims Jesus married and raised children, and currently there is an author on the talk show circuit pushing his book which claims that Jesus didn't die on the cross! Now one can choose to believe this junk or one can shun it because the Bible gives no evidence to any of the claims made by these persons. If you believe the Bible, you will, with faith, accept what it teaches as the word of Almighty God. As for Christ having a wife, no such thing is in the gospels, that's just like saying He sold horses on the side.
Even the people saying these things admitted they couldn't 100 percent prove it; so why say it? As for Jesus dying, that is why He came to earth and if He didn't die, allmankind is in sin and hell bound! (John 3:16–17; 1 John 2:2; John 1:29; 1 Peter 1:18–25; 1 Corinthians 15:12–23). The author on a recent news show, spoke much about Pontus Pilate, yet the very Bible which he read in order to know about Pilate shows that he knew Jesus was dead (Matthew 28:57–66; Mark 15:42–47; Luke 24:1–8; John 19:31–42; Acts 2:22–35; 1 Cor. 15:3–8). The conclusion to all of this is, "these men do err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God," (Matt. 22:29). In life we will hear many foolish things, but if we stay with the word of God and speak only as it directs, and remain silent where it remains silent, we will stand on a foundation that lasts forever (Matt. 24:35; Matt. 7:24–25; 1 Peter 4:11; Jeremiah 23:26).
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
