When someone is drunk, it is easy for anyone to take advantage of him. Drunkenness has caused rapes, robbery, kidnapping, agreeing to be a part of something which one later regrets. etc. And the police can tell you that drunkenness has caused car crashes which left people crippled, killed, arrested, and buildings crashed into, etc.
The price for being drunk is just too high to pay. It is better not to be drunk because being high takes away self control and puts one at the mercy of whomever may be near (Habakkuk 2:15; Genesis 9:20-24). So think about this if you are considering getting drunk. The price is just too much to pay for the so called good feeling. And people fail to remember that other things can give a good feeling won’t place you in danger (Ephesians 5:18; Proverbs 23:20-21, 29-35; Isaiah 5:11).
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
