Don’t listen to people who say that God has personally spoken to them. If you believe the Bible, then believe Hebrews 1:1-3 which teaches that God speaks to men through Christ and not through your neighbor, preacher, or anyone else. The words of the scriptures given to us through Christ is the voice of God speaking to anyone who will pick up the Bible and read it (John 5:39, 8:31-32, 7:17, 6:45; Romans 13:8-14; Ephesians 4:22-32, 5:5, 5:22-25, Eph. 6:1-3; Proverbs 22:6, 15, 4:23-35; Psalm 1:1, 111:9; John 5:28-29, 6:45, 8:21; Acts 2:38, 8:26-40, 16:25-34; Romans 6:3-5, 16:16.
God isn’t going say anything privately to anyone because the Bible is the final, perfect and complete message given to men, and it will last forever (2 Timothy 3:14-17; James 1:22-25; 2 Peter 1:3; Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:22-25). Some remind me of the old false prophet in 1 Kings 13:18, who lied to a younger prophet and got him killed. Don’t make the same mistake. The Bible is here, and we need to heed it and not listen to those claiming that God spoke to them. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services It is commendable that man has done a good thing by giving credit to the Saviour Jesus Christ: by reckoning time with His birth and death. For example 62 BC, means before Christ. 59 AD, means after the death of Christ. It is good for man to have done this, because it makes Christ special. I just hope the “politically correct people” never make a issue out of this like they did with “in God we trust” on the coin.
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Acts 2:30-36 “Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which you now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Our purpose today is to ask you to make this a better year by adding regular church attendance to your life. Now if you think we’re advising you to start doing something that is wrong—we hope you will write and let us know why our recommendation is wrong. This would be fair for you to do and also fair for us to know because we believe that regular church attendance is good for the soul. On the back of this sheet is information about what to expect at this church worship service and also our website information in which we encourage you to visit. For those who are already convinced that they need to save their souls, we have printed below what other people did in Bible times in order to get right with God. We do this in keeping with the gospel of Christ which helps men to find salvation by obeying its message (Romans 1:16; Hebrews 5:9). If you plan to begin church attendance, we invite you. If you want salvation, we invite you.
