Guy gets a gun, walks into a Texas school and opens fire. Such was done because the shooter had no godly values. I?m talking about belief in God, belief in His word which is the bible. Going to church every week, where one can study the word of God and make application of the beauty and wisdom of the teachings. What about Loving all men? Training oneself to become a better person? Treating other people in the manner which one wants others to treat him? Doing everything that can be done to make the people around us better? No robbing! No assaulting! No cursing and acting like a fool! No plans to commit murder! No idolizing criminals and violent video games!
No shooter has these values. They are void from his existence. A shooter has the values of the deceived, those who have listen and received their inspiration from the wrong source. The word of the Lord teaches that evil men and seducers, will get worse and worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves. 2 Timothy 3:13. 1 John 5:19. Stopping shootings, depends on us accepting the word of God and living in the way it teaches. This is a personal moral decision and no national gun ban or government intervention is going to make a different. Each person must repent and come to God, for His law is our only hope. Jonah 3:1-10. Proverbs 1:32-33. Psalms 81:11-16. Globally, personal repentance for all humans; no one to be left out. Acts 17:30. You're either in your sins or you have had your sins washed away by the blood of Christ. Eph 1:7. The act of baptism is where a person comes in contact with the blood of Christ. Mark 16.16. That is true because when the guards stabbed the dead body of Jesus upon the cross; the bible said blood and water came out. John 19.34.
In 1 John 5.8, the bible teaches that the Spirit, water and blood agree and that is why baptism works. It contains the blood of Christ, which serves as detergent to wash away the sins of men, thereby saving them and putting them into the body of Christ. Rom 6:1-18. 1 Cor 12.13. Gal 3.27. Jesus shed His blood for the world that by His blood men can be saved. Eph 2.14. Col 1:13-14.20. 1 John 1:7. However, all of that means nothing if a person doesn?t come into contact with the blood. So, that is where baptism comes into the picture. Arise dear reader, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling upon the name of the Lord. Acts 22.16. Rom 10.12-17. You won?t be taking it with you and I?m speaking about money. Job 1:21 Psalms 49:15-21 1 Timothy 6:7 Now don?t get me wrong, money is good if earned honestly because God wants man to work and get money, so he can take care of his needs. Acts 20:33-35 Ephesians 4:28 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12. 2 Thessalonians 3:7-12
But, the way some people live, we can see that money is all they are concerned about.As the O Jay songs goes; for the love of money people will lie, steal and cheat, and any other evil. Matthew 26:14-16 Acts 8:18-23 James 5:1-5 1 Timothy 6:10 Jesus said, if a person gains all the wealth in the world and loses his soul to hell, what can be given in exchange? Mark 8:36-37 No amount of earthly net worth will mean anything if a person?s soul isn?t right in the eyes of the Lord. We all need to slow down and start thinking about our souls and not our port folios. God first, money second. What happen in the Bill Cosby trial should serve as an example for the choices that we make. By seeing what happen, it should help us not to repeat the same mistakes. Mr. Cosby might be guilty, or he might not be. All those women could be the biggest liars in the world or they all could be telling the truth. Who really knows but those involved.
But there is one thing we all know. By his own mouth, Mr. Cosby told us that he is guilty of an extramarital affair. So, since he made the choice to put himself into that forbidden realm; he opened the door for all the unfortunate things of which he is suffering today. Pro 5:15-23. Pro 6:24-35.
