When Jesus had finished His teachings, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea on the other side of the Jordan river. Large crowds followed Him and He healed them there. Some Pharisees came to put Him to the test by asking; “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all ?”
“Haven’t you read the scriptures,” Jesus replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female and He said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Matthew 19:1-6 Moral decay occurs when the basic virtues that founded a society disappears; and when that happens there is internal rot. Our community is now experiencing moral decay with the breakdown of the home and the moral values of what is right and what is wrong. A home headed by a married father and mother with children has been tarnished.
There are babies out of wedlock with missing fathers and it is considered normal. Sexual relations between a man and his wife has been tarnish to now include all kinds of sexual behavior which is considered alright when measured by 2018 standards. Young men walking around with their pants down showing their underwear is consider okay. Using foul language as entertainment is just fine; after all, it’s only entertainment they say. Using guns to solve disputes is the 2018 way. Bad behavior in schools where teachers get beat up and have no respect from their students. I have said enough! It’s too sickening to go on naming bad behavior, you all know what I’m saying. Unless a society goes back to the biblical virtues of right and wrong, using the word of the Lord as the basis for which one lives life. We will continue on this downward trend where morality isn’t recognized. Pro 12:28. Pro 14:34. Psa 33:12. Psa 14:1-3 We lament the fact that people don’t debate disagreements without name calling. A gay man debates his belief against an opponent and somewhere during the exchange, the term homophobic is hurled. Another man debates an Islamic person and somewhere during the exchange, the term Islamophobic is hurled or infidel, or threats to commit violence, etc. A person honks a horn in traffic and the flash of the index finger is seen, gun shots are fired, tailgating and trying to force the other driver off the road is done in road rage. By telling drug dealers to stop selling drugs on the block, neighbors will experience gunfire, vandalism or firebombs thrown into their windows. After having problems, one group of high school students will go on line and tell the other group to meet them in a mall for a fight. A person gets fired and returns to the old job and opens fire upon former coworkers.
I could name more, but this is enough. There are people all over who don’t agree with what you do. However, that doesn’t mean they need to be called idiot or threaten with bodily harm. How about live and let live? God gives all men the right to make a choice. We have to respect another person right to do so, even though we don’t agree. Using violence and name calling against an opponent is wrong. Col 4:6. Eph 4:29. Just present the evidence and leave it at that. And if it isn’t accepted; walk away. Some people say; ?I?m not into religion, God, the church, etc?. To that, we say everyone has the right to make their own choice. God will not force Himself upon anyone and we as his followers aren?t going to do that either.
However, there are people that do have an interest in religion, God, the church, etc. Our job is to find those people and while we attempt to do so; we know that we shall come across many who have no interest in what we teach. But that is okay, those people are simply living life as they want. We just wish them a good day and excuse ourselves. In the bible, Jesus told a parable of a sower that went out to sow his seed. In sowing that seed, he crossed several different types of soil which were wrong for the seed. But he kept sowing until he found the good soil where the seed was able to grow. Luke 8:4-15. If you are that good soil, we have the word of the Lord which is the seed and we want to share that with you. |
