Church is supposed to be where we learn to please God and not ourselves.
Church is supposed to be where we learn about the beliefs of God and not our beliefs. Church is supposed to be where we go to serve God by doing what He wants and not what we want. Church is supposed to be where we hear the preacher give book, chapter and verse for what he teaches. At church, no preacher or church leader should be teaching the opinions of himself or anyone else. Church is the place were we come to worship the Creator and not the minister, choir, church building, etc. Some churches put up signs saying, “A church for your beliefs.” or, “We believe in tolerance.” I question what those beliefs are and I question what that church may tolerate. And I wonder if God is pleased with what those churches are doing. Rev 2:18-20. Everything a church does must be according to scriptures or that church will be wrong. 2 John 8-9. Matt 15:13-14. John 4:24. 1 Tim 4:13:16. 1 Tim 6:3. 2 Tim 1:13. Gal 1:8-9. John 8:31-32. John the Baptist was the great preacher who went before Jesus in order to introduce Him to the world. Mal 3:1. Matt 3:3-12. Mark 1:1-5. Luke 3:2-9. Luke 3:15-18. John1:19-34.
Both looked at the world and both knew the sermon that was needed; which was repentance. Matt 3:1-2. Matt 4:17. Mark 1:4. It is 2019 and the world still needs that sermon. Acts 3:19-20. We need people to stop doing things and we need people to start doing things. That way we get rid of lying, stealing, gossip, tax evasion, hate, bullying, fraud, unwed mothers, murder, drug abuse, free loading, etc. etc. We ask you to consider your life and come to understand that man cannot be right with God on his own merit. Man must be taught about God and come to understand what the word of God demands and only by that way, can man establish a relationship with the Lord. John 6:45. Man is cruel; he not only inflicts sadistic deeds upon humans but also extends the evil to animals. Consider that someone tortured and killed a potbellied pig in the park this past week. Also, a man was punched and knocked to the ground last weekend after he told a fellow dog walker to put his animal on lease. That poor man died after his head hit the concert sidewalk! The cruel mind of the puncher made him react in the manner which he did and for that, there is no excuse. The word of the Lord teaches being cruel is sinful. Psa 71:4. Gen 42:21-22. Psa 25:19. Pro 11:17. The word of the Lord also teaches that man ought to show kindness to animals and people. Pro 12:10. Deut 25:4. Num 22:22-31. Ex 2:16-19. Col 3:12-14. 2 Pt 1:7. Acts 28:2. Pro 19:22.
Our problems exist because of sin and we need to repent. Acts 17:30-31. That?s right, I said repentance; but most don't want to hear that. But it is the truth and until we do, we will continue to hear and see horrible things. Gal 6:7-8. Pro 11:5-6. God's way and God?s love is what everybody needs; from the ghetto?s to the middle class area and ending in the high class neighborhoods. Proverbs 8:1-36. Try repentance, it works. Jonah 3:6-10. Psalm 14:1-3 Fools say in their hearts, ?There is no God.? They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God. They have all gone astray, they are all alike perverse; there is no one who does good,
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil. Acts 17:30-31 While God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will have the world judged in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. Mark 16:15-16 And he said to them, ?Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God that you, having once been slaves of sin, have become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were entrusted and that you having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. |
