Stay within Bounds

6/28/2020

Psalm 131.1-3. O Lord, my heart is not lifted up my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me, O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time on and forevermore.

There is a line from a Clint Eastwood movie, which said, "A man gotta know his limitations."

With that statement I agree. Know your strengths, know your weaknesses and when you do; there will be no standing where you ought not

It's Good to Be One

6/21/2020

Being a Christian is like saving for a rainy day. You know that sooner or later you will need it and by having it, you save yourself tons of grief. Death and Judgment for man is certain; all will give account for their existence, so one must have Christianity to be able to stand. 2 Cor 5:10. Acts 4.12.

Since Christians recognize they will stand before God, it drives them to make the most of their time on earth. It drives them to persevere and overcome challenges. It drives them to pray fervently to God for everyday help and strength. It drives them to educate themselves in the scriptures so that they will know what God expects from them.

Christians spend a great deal of time with other Christians and miss them greatly when they aren't around. This is so, because every time Christians are with ungodly people it isn't inspiring for them. Christians want to be around others who are going to heaven and can also help them go to as well. Sort of like the saying, ?birds of a feather, stick together?. I?m sure you get what I mean. To all Christians, keep up the good work. When you stand before God on Judgment Day, you will see that all the hardship you endured on earth was well worth it, because you didn't fail your faith.

What You Need to Do

6/14/2020

It doesn't take much to removed from this earth. Life is very fragile, so no one is safe and no one can plan a long life because it isn't certain. Since we have no control over what happens in future hours, we will waste no time discussing it. What we will talk about is getting ready to meet the moment when life ends and the Judgment begins.

Acts 16:30-34 30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household."32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God he and his whole household.

This is what everyone needs to do to get ready for the moment when eternality takes over. Today is the time, don't put it off any longer. Decide to give your life to Christ by doing what the jailer did. After his baptism, he was a happy man, because he knew he did what was needed in order to save his soul. If the soul is saved, the uncertainly of life, no longer matters.

King David Wrote This

6/7/2020

Oh Lord, who may live in Your tent? Who may live on Your holy hill? He who walks without blame and does what is right and good and speaks the truth in his heart. He does not hurt others with his tongue, or do wrong to his neighbor, or bring shame to his friend. He looks down upon a sinful person, but honors those who fear the Lord. He keeps his promises even if it may hurt him. He gives money to be used without being paid for its use. And he does not take money to hurt those who are not guilty. He who does these things will never be shaken. Psalm 15 New Life Version (NLV)
