Not of God

10/25/2020

The office of the pope isn’t in the bible. If a doctrine isn’t in the Bible, that doctrine is not of God, but of man. Mark 7.1-15. That is the problem with our religious world, there are too many false doctrines posing as the doctrine of God.

One cannot be saved following doctrines that not taught by the word of the Lord and neither can a person expect God to be pleased, because He will not be. 2 John 9-11. Matt 7.15-27.

The head of the church is Jesus Christ, and He doesn’t share that position with anyone. Eph 5.23. Col 1:18. Eph 1.22-23. However, men pay no attention to these bible truths and go ahead and established their own teaching about the head of the church. Romans 10.1-3. People believe that what the pope will say is truth and nothing could be farther from the truth. The word of God is the truth and when it speaks, you hear truth that will set you free. John 8.31-32.

How can a person pledge their life to that not authorized by the word of the Lord? If you believe in the pope, where is your bible authority? Give book, chapter and verse. 1 Peter 4.11 And no scriptures used out of context, please.

He Looked in the Wrong Place

10/18/2020

He told the king, “This is what the Lord says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!” 2 Kings 1.16

These are the words spoken to King Ahaziah after he sought medical advice because of an injury and he sought not the help from God; but from an idol.

People put their hope in the wrong things, which brings me to the upcoming presidential election. Every four years we hear politicians make big promises on how they are going to change lives for the better and we see voters believing and fighting to the death to support their man.

Such ought not be. Man needs to trust in God, because humans are limited and could be gone in 60 seconds. Psa 144.4

We All Are Priests

10/11/2020

When a person sins, they don’t have to confess that sin to a priest. Reason being, all Christians are priests, Christians are a royal priesthood. 1 Peter 2:9.

There is no such thing as a group of men selected as priests in the new testament which is the standard for men today. Matt 26:26-29. This is the covenant for which Christ died and is in force till the last day. Heb 1:1-2. And yes, there were priests under the old testament, the Levites were the priests for the nation of Israel, but that age has passed, and we now live under the age of Jesus Christ and the new testament. Heb 7:11. Heb 7:12:19-22. Heb 8:13. Heb 9:11-28. Heb 10:28-29 2 Cor 3:6-8.

So, what about when we sin? The new testament teaches that Christians confess their faults one to another and pray one for another. James 5:14-16. Acts 8:18-24.Just go to any faithful member of the church and talk to them about your sin and just pray together; that all its takes.

Having priests is not according to the word of God.

The Confidence of the Psalmist

10/4/2020

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God,the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice, “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, where your ancestors tested me they tried me, though they had seen what I did. For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray and they have not known my ways.’ So I declared on oath in my anger,

‘They shall never enter my rest. Psalms 95:1-11
