Why do you hate the Lord? What in the world are you talking about? I’m speaking of anyone who doesn’t have the time or interest for God. And you know what? That makes up the majority of the population.
God said that those who refuse to heed His word; hate Him. Pro 1.29-30 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord. They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof. “Heed instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts. For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me injures himself; for all those who hate me love death.” Pro 8.33-36 So, there you have it. Hate for God is evident by refusing to obey Him. If you aren’t obeying the word of God. You hate Him.

My son, if sinners entice you, don’t consent. Proverbs 1.10.
Reader did you hear that? Do you understand what the word of the Lord has instructed you to do? Don't think that it is not possible; you can do it, the Lord wouldn’t have commanded the scripture if that wasn’t the case. Many are in all kinds of trouble because they didn’t say no. You must refuse to participate in that which is wrong. There will always be people trying to get you to do something wicked. But if you know that it is wrong; tell them to go away. Because if you participate, it will only get worst. Think about it, there are proposals to take drugs, to sleep with someone, to steal, cheat on taxes, get drunk. etc I can go on and on with all the different kinds of temptations, but enough has been said. Read scripture over and over. It's a very simple message. Refuse to do wrong. Gen 39:7-10 In this year of 2021, it is a very good time to get on the side of the Lord. We are suffering
in this pandemic and witnessing much death. People speak of staying “safe.” But how it that possible if one has no relationship with God. Are you going to keep yourself safe? If you say yeah, I ask how? We are all walking though the valley of death, and the only way we can fear no evil, is to have the cloak of God surrounding us. Psalm 23.1-6. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. In Acts 18.24-28, we read the story of the eloquent speaker Apollos. He was very knowledgeable in the scriptures, and he boldly preached the doctrine of the Lord. However, he was short on things that he needed to know. A couple, Aquila and Priscilla heard him speak and they saw that he needed help so, they requested a meeting with him. After spending time with him studying the scriptures, they corrected what was lacking, by teaching him the word of God more perfectly. Afterwards Apollos went back to preaching, being better than he ever had been. What a fine fella this Apollos was.
Lesson from this is, how many preachers are humble enough to accept constructive criticism? Preacher, what if you are very passionate when it concerns preaching; but you miss the point on things? Will you allow yourself to be corrected? No preacher knows everything; only the word of God does. Preacher, what if the church that you work for, is wrong? You think you are preaching truth, but instead you are preaching damnation? Will you accept it, if someone attempts to correct the doctrine you teach? |
