Jesus finished 40 days in the wilderness and he did not eat and drink.  The devil challenged him to turn stones into bread; but Jesus rebuked the devil by saying,
“ man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”  Matt 4.4.    Have you ever considered what this means?

It is God's wish that everyone lives according to what his word commands and we
cannot have a relationship with Him unless we do so.   Before we do anything we need to check and see if what we do is according to the word of God.

It doesn’t matter if you're going to get married, start a new job, say something, think something, everything should be based on the word of God. People who live by the book, are the sons of God for they can give book, chapter and verse for what is done.

Here are some reasons people give for not going to church.

“It’s not necessary” “I’m not interested” “I don’t want to go to church” “I’m too busy”
“I don’t believe in church, God, heaven, or hell” “I can worship God without
assembling with others” “The church always asks for money” “The preacher preached at me”
“There are too many rules” “None of the churches teach the same doctrine.”
“Church is boring” “There are too many hypocrites in church”
“This is 2024, not ancient times” “I don’t have clothes fit for church”  etc.

Some of those reasons aren’t without merit and some need clarification and some are ridiculous.  Space will not permit answers for everything but allow me to say this.

Jesus built a church. Matt 16:18. The bible teaches that God adds the saved to the church.
Acts 2:27. Jesus will save the church from the fires of hell.  Eph 5:23.    The members came together on Sunday to give of their money and observe the communion 1 Cor 16:1-4.  Acts 20:7.

After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life  Gen 3:24

Security is a pillar of civilization and we need more security; not less. In both of the scriptures above, we see the first police officer in Genesis was an angel. And the purpose of the police in Romans is to protect and serve.  A few years ago, the false doctrine of defunding the police was making its rounds. By defunding police, that makes it hard for them to do their job and will lead to the destruction of the communities, because there will be no protection available.

We hope people wake up and use their heads wisely and quit listening to false doctrines floating around out there.

The doors of the Mount Airy Church of Christ are open every Sunday morning and Tuesday evening, offering salvation to anyone who wants to save their soul from the fires of hell. Rom 5.6-9

This church is not in existence to solve secular issues of this world. John 18.36.  The issues of this life do need to be taken care of, but that needs to be done on an individual basis and it’s not the work of the church to remove hardship from the earth. John 12.8

The soul of man needs the blood of Christ which will cleanse a person from sin and place him into the church where he can be saved on the last day. Eph 5.23. John 14.1-3 1 Thess 4.16-18

If you are concerned about your salvation we want to hear from you. We hope you will heed this warning and save yourselves from the coming Judgment. Acts 2.36-42
