Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbor's house; lest he be weary of thee and so hate thee. Pro 25.17. I just don't understand it. My next-door neighbor does not invite me to his parties or other get togethers. He seems to avoid me. I called him and he won't pick up the phone. I knock on his door and he does not answer. If this seems familiar, perhaps what is happening is exactly what the Bible has taught. You spent too much time in your neighbor's house; and yes, he's trying to avoid you. To fix all this, stay away from your neighbor for a while. Allow him to forget about you. And if he does invite you back into his life, limit your time with him. Leave before he expects it. Don’t let him see your face or hear your voice every day. Cause him to start considering if you are home instead. It doesn't take much for people to start getting tired of you. If you watch them long enough, you can note of their expressions they are getting tired of you. And soon as you see that, you need to leave. Remember these things, so that in the future you don't overstay your welcome.
