Words of the week

Jesus Christ said that he would build his church and that meant he was only going to build one. Matt 16.18.  Jesus fulfill that promise by establishing his church in the city of Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. Luke 24.45-49.  Acts 2.1-6:37-47.  If you go back to Matthew 1618 the word church is singular, it does not mean plural, therefore all the churches that you see today cannot be what Jesus meant. Jesus prays for those believing in Him to be unified as He and the Father are. John 17.20-23. 
Someone is wrong!   There is no way that all these different beliefs can be right. The only way one can know is to examine what the Bible teaches. In next week's words of the week, we will give four identification marks of the true church.           And that information is found in every Bible.
