In Acts chapter 16.33, we read Paul and his coworker took a man and his family in the night
and baptized them the same hour in which they confessed their belief in Christ. Now, someone may say; why didn't they just wait till the morning? The reason is the man would not be saved from his sins. Being baptized is how sins are washed away Acts 22.16. Once a person accepts the gospel of Christ, the first stop is baptism. Acts 8.36-38. Remember baptism is the watery grave, where men contact the blood of Christ. Rom 6.1-17. 1 John 5.6-10. Had they waited until the morning light, the man could have died or the world may have come to an end, and the man would still be in his sins. John8.21. So, when one is ready to accept Christ, get them to the water.
