Words of the week

Jesus Christ knows what it’s like to face rejection.  In John 6.66-67,
He preached the truth and the audience got mad and left.  
The Lord asked the twelve; “will you also go away?”   
 
 A young rich guy asked the Lord what is required to enter heaven.
The man was told to sell all and give to poor people and take up his cross and follow the Lord.    
After hearing that, the rich guy rejected it and walked away.  
He had plenty of cash and didn’t want to part with it.  
​In other words, he loved money and worldly things.  Matt19.16-26  
 
The Jews constantly fought with the Lord and tried to make Him look bad. 
But these evil men failed every time. John 8.1-59.  Men cannot out-smart the Lord.   
Yes, Jesus knew what rejection was. Jesus stood firm after every rejection.  
Let us do the same.
