A man said that when he teaches a bible class or preaches, he goes deep.
What is he saying? What does he mean about the word deep? Is he talking over the students -heads? Does he think he is smarter and better than his listeners? I don’t know the answer to that, but I do know that teachers need to educate on a level that gets understanding from their listeners. The church at Corinth was admonished by the apostle Paul to make sure that the audience understood every word. 1 Corinthians 15.1-33. It’s ridiculous to read or listen to a sermon if the speaker is making it difficult. Philip the evangelist asked a man “Do you understand what you are reading?” He asked that because it was important. So, make sure you know the audience to whom you are speaking and give them the understanding they need. Pro 4.7. Eph 5. 17.
