“Oh Lord, who may live in Your tent? Who may live on Your holy hill? He who walks without blame and does what is right and good and speaks the truth in his heart. He does not hurt others with his tongue, or do wrong to his neighbor, or bring shame to his friend. He looks down upon a sinful person, but honors those who fear the Lord. He keeps his promises even if it may hurt him. He gives money to be used without being paid for its use. And he does not take money to hurt those who are not guilty. He who does these things will never be shaken. “ Psalm 15 New Life Version (NLV)

In Jeremiah chapter 38, we read of the prophet being thrown into a mud pit
because he prophesised against the evil doings of Jerusalem and warned them to repent. Instead, Jeremiah was thrown into a mud pit because the high-ranking officials of the city didn’t want to change their ways. Jeremiah ended up in the pit, but he did not stay there long; because God worked through a man who was an Ethiopian. This man went to the king and pleaded the case that Jeremiah shouldn’t die in that circumstance; but they should let him out and the king listened. Later, Jeremiah was given an audience with the King, and he again warned of the coming disaster. Unfortunately, the king still didn't do anything about getting the people to repent. He just listened to what the prophet had to say and let everything go on as before. The city ended up being attacked and destroyed by the Babylonian empire. When God speaks, man needs to listen and obey. When a male and female are dating; they need to date; not try to play husband and wife. That means no changing her last name to his. Not moving in with him. Not paying each other’s bills. Not having sexual intercourse. etc. The reason being, that person isn’t your spouse. You haven’t made marriage vows with that person. 1 Cor 7.39.
Date the person. Find out their beliefs. Dreams. Goals. Who they are as a person. Their family background. What they are looking for in a potential mate, etc. See if the person is compatible. By dating, one should keep their intentions pure. It should be like a job interview in certain ways. One is trying to decide if the person is the one and when that is confirmed; its marriage time. Hebrews 13.4. Proverbs 18.22. Matt 19.5 In certain places of the United States there is a heat wave. I’m talking about severe heat lasting from three to five days and some places down in the southern United States; I've been told it can last for a month. Over in Europe, they are finally understanding what it means to have air conditioning. European cities didn't have air conditioning and they're now facing a heat wave. One thing I can say that is the heat of the summer ought to make people think about Hell. the Bible teaches that Hell is a terrible place of fire and brimstone for eternity. Matt 3.7-12. Mk 8.42-48.
So, the next time you sweat from high humidity; think about the fires of hell and what you are going to do to get away from it. We can help you to learn how to be saved. |
