There has been a lot of talk this week about the 1973 abortion case, Roe vs. Wade. There were articles in the paper about how requests for abortions are on the decline and for that God fearing people can be thankful. It was wrong for religious people to kill or attack those who work at abortion clinics. It is also wrong for people to perform abortions and work at those clinics. It is wrong for couples to have sex, get pregnant as a result, then abort (kill) the fetus (baby) because they claim that a child will cramp their style (selfish refusal to accept responsibility; Matthew 5:21, Psalm 10:8, Deuteronomy 27:25; Ephesians 5:11, 1 Corinthians 10:8).
Let no one be fooled into thinking that when a surgeon inserts an instrument into a woman's body, that he isn't looking for the body of another person—the baby (2 Kings 8:12). This procedure will kill the body of the baby and cause the body of the mother to have some discomfort for a few days; afterward she will recover and go on with her life, but the poor infant body will be in the trash. Yet, the false statement, "A woman can do what she wants with her body" is on the lips of many who favor a mother killing her baby because he cramps her style (Philippians 2:3-5, 1 Kgs 3:16-28). Yet, it isn't the woman's body that is being destroyed, rather it is the body of the baby. This evil can be stopped if people will do as God has ordained, have sex and babies only in marriage (1 Timothy 5:14). Hope to hear from you or to see you at the services. It's not uncommon to hear someone use the vulgar expression, "I'll be d#@*ed!" The thing people don't realize when they say this, is they are wishing everlasting destruction and torment upon themselves, because that is what damnation is (Matthew 3:7, Mark 16:16, Romans 2:5-11, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 2 Thess. 1:7-10). Damnation is being cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where there is only darkness, pain weeping, and gnashing of teeth (Matt. 8:12, Matt. 13:40-43, Matt. 25:24-46). To be damned means condemnation to everlasting fire where the worm doesn't die, and the fire will never be quenched (Matt. 3:12, Matt. 5:22, Mark 9:42-50, John 5:28-29). To be damned means being forever cut off from the love of God without parole or forgiveness (John 8:21, Matt. 7:21-23, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 59:1-3, Matt. 25:46). To be damned means spending uncomfortable eternity with Satan himself and every other vile, rotten, perverted, wicked person that walked the earth (Revalation 20:10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
So, you see, it's no fun being damned. As a matter of fact, everyone should do all they can to avoid being damned, and that means you need to become a Christian; you need to obey the gospel (Hebrews 5:9, Rom. 10:9-17, Acts 4:12, Acts 11:26, 2 Cor. 6:17-18). Can we help you do that? Hope to hear from you or to see you at the services. Churches can send a person to hell just as quick as drunkenness, fornication and adultery, homosexuality and lesbianism, stealing, lying, gambling, not going to church, or anything else that is contrary to sound doctrine (1 Timothy 1:10). Now before you faint or get a strange feeling because we have said churches can be dangerous to your soul, allow me to explain how churches can send you to hell.
You can go to hell by being a member of a church that Jesus didn't build. In Matthew 16:18, "Jesus said he would build His church." He didn't say He would build many churches, but said, "church" meaning one church. Jesus further shows that at the judgment bar, those who were members of churches that He didn't authorize would be refused entrance into heaven, because they failed to build upon His word (Matt. 7:13-29). Ephesians 5:23 teaches that Jesus will save only His church. John 10:9 teaches that a person must enter Jesus' fold (or church) in order to be saved. Matthew 15:13-14 teaches that all who follow doctrine not authorized by Jesus will be hell bound. 1 Corinthians 3:11 teaches that no other foundation can be established other than what Jesus has. So when men go outside the word of God and establish different churches that don't teach the same thing; they fail to promote Jesus' wishes for unity, and neither do they render obedience toward God's word (1 Cor. 1:10, John 17:17-23, 2 John 8-11, Galatians 1:8-9, Luke 6:46-49). Please read Romans 16:16. Hope to hear from you or to see you at the services. In the movie Frankenstein, a mad scientist attempted to be successful at restoring life to a body, put together with many parts stolen from graveyards. Many of us know the tragic ending to the movie, with the moral of the story being, only God is the giver of life. But, we don't need a movie to teach us that; all we have to do is read the Bible; for God's word will teach us that both life and death is in the hands of God (Genesis 1:27, 30:2, Deuteronomy 32:39, 1 Samuel 2:6, 2 Kings 5:7, Job 33:4, Psalms 68:20, Isaiah 40:28).
So, has man learned anything from the word of God? I say no because many don't read it. Has man learned anything from the movie Frankenstein? Considering this week's news about cloning and aliens from outer space creating mankind upon the earth, I suppose not. What a silly way for some people to start off the new year. They are promoting something contrary to the word of God. People need to start reading the Bible. Hope to hear from you or to see you at the services. |
