It is hard to believe that some churches in this area used last Sunday as Barack Obama day. Instead of having services to worship God in spirit and in truth, they sung the praises of Barack Obama.
I have only one question to ask. Where is the scriptural authority for any church to cease doing what God has commanded on the first day of the week and to sing the praises of a candidate that has been elected to an office? The scriptures teach that the purpose of the church is to come together and worship God, doing what pleases Him on the first day of the week (John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4; Acts 20:7; Ephesians 5:19; Acts 2:42). There were elections during the times of the New Testament, but the church didn’t cancel worshiping God to give honor to a candidate. If you can prove such by the Bible, provide the proof. Scripture...................................?
If those people wanted to sing the praises of the president-elect; why didn’t they do so on their own time and with their own resources? (Mark 12:17).
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
