Being condescending is a tone of speech that makes listeners feel that the speaker is talking down to them (Genesis 44:14-15). The Bible teaches us to speak with words seasoned with salt and grace (Colossians 4:6). The Bible also teaches men to be careful with their words because emotion with its finger on the trigger of the tongue, causes much damage (James 3:5-10). And the proud attitude of looking down on others, considering oneself to be so much better, is just plain ignorant (1 Corinthians 8:2; 1 Cor. 1:27). One of the virtues of being wise is to work with others on their level and understand that none is greater because of degrees from institutions of higher learning (1 Cor. 9:19-23; Romans 12:15-16; Matthew 18:1-5).
Such is true because all men die, and Jesus won’t judge men because of degrees or lack thereof (Ecclesiastes 3:18-21; Matt. 25:32-33). So let none of us be guilty of practicing condescending speech. Instead let us speak to each other as equals because in the eyes of God we are (Acts 17:26, 10:34-35; Rom. 2:11, 3:23). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Babies don’t need to be baptized because they have no sin and are heaven bound if they should die (Matthew 5:8; John 8:21). Sin is the breaking of the laws of God and babies cannot do that, or inherit the sins of their parents (1 John 3:4; Ezekiel 18:20).
In order to be baptized one must have sins that need to be washed away (Acts 2:38, 22:16), and believe in and confess Christ (Mark 16:16; Romans 10:9-10). Babies cannot qualify to do any of the things mentioned, thus they are not candidates for baptism. The word of God teaches that baptism isn’t sprinkling or pouring water on a person, but is a complete burial in much water (John 3:23; Rom. 6:3-6; Hebrews 10:22). In the Bible way of baptism, one goes into the water, not have water brought to him in a container (Matt. 3:6,16; Acts 8:36,38). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. When Obama ran for his first presidential term, he had a poster which appeared all over the country. The poster was a picture of his head with the caption “hope”underneath.
The prophet Jeremiah said, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed is the one that trusts in man and makes flesh his arm and whose heart departs from God” (chapter 17:5). The Psalmist also wrote, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returns to the earth and in that day his thoughts perish. But happy is he that has the God of Jacob for help, whose hope is in the LORD his God.” (Pslam 146:3-5). Far too many are placing their trust in the wrong hands, and the need to listen to the scriptures is now. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Ever wonder what the dead are doing? According to the word of God, only the deeds of what was done in life follows the dead (Revelation 14:13). The dead cannot take anything with them and neither can they work on new projects because their laboring is over and only the Judgment awaits (Ecclesiastes 9:4-10; Hebrews 9:27; 1 Timothy 6:7; Psalm 49:17; Job 1:21). Which means that a dead person only has the time to rejoice in or regret the deeds done in life (Luke 16:19-31). Once dead, one cannot change his fate, so man must be prepared at the precise moment of death (John 8:21-24; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:37-47; John 3:14-21). So, anyone that has passed on is either in comfort or agony, based on how they lived while on earth.
