By forgetting or being ignorant of the law of God, it will bring the wrath of God upon a nation. Prov 14.34. Please take notice of the following scripture from the word of God.
2 Kings 22:8-17 “ Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the Lord.” He gave it to Shaphan, who read it. 9 Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him: “Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the Lordand have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple.” 10 Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.11 When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes. 12 He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant: 13 “Go and inquire of the Lordfor me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”14 Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Akbor, Shaphan and Asaiah went to speak to the prophet Huldah, who was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the New Quarter.15 She said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Tell the man who sent you to me,16 ‘This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people, according to everything written in the book the king of Judah has read. 17 Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all the idols their hands have made,[a] my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.’ Nations cannot live without instruction from the bible. Matt 4.4. Such would cause us to be living as men want and not the Lord. This must be turned around, if not we will meet a sad end.

If there was one thing we could do for others, it would be to have a bible study with them. However, that would be problematic, because many don’t understand what the bible is and some refuse to have anything to do with this good book. For those who don’t understand the bible, it is the word of your Creator, a gift to you, written in two parts known as the old testament and the new testament. The old testament was the law given to the people that came out of Egypt and it ended at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The new testament is the part of the bible which is for us today. It contains the life of Jesus and covers His purpose bringing men the word from the Father and offering Himself as the sacrifice for the sins. In the new testament you will learn how to begin a relationship with God and how to become a member of His church which houses the redeemed from among the earth. This is what we share with all interested persons who wish to know God and have their sins washed away by the blood of Christ in baptism. Let us know if we can help you. When the cat is away, the mice do play. And so, the saying goes. It is quite often that people will betray the trust that others have placed in them by using money, property, automobile or some other valuable in a way that wasn’t authorized. For example, a person is told to watch the house while the owners are on vacation. But the house sitter brings girls over and the owner didn’t give permission. In another situation, a person is supposed to repair a car and rather than repair or even after the repair is done, they go joy riding in the car. The owners gave no permission for such abuse. It is the caretakers who decided to take advantage of the owner absence. The word of God teaches us to work for our fellow man as if we are doing the job for the Lord Himself. Col 3.23-24. It teaches us to obey our employers. Col 3.22. The word teaches us to treat others as we wish to be treated. Luke 6.31. The word teaches us not to be deceitful and not to lie. 2 Cor 4.1-2 Eph 4.24 Also, the word of God, informs us that the Lord sees all the deeds of men. Heb 4.13. When a caretaker abuses trust, he is in violation of all the above and in danger of damnation. John 5.29. The thing to do is your duty. Don’t be deceitful behind someone back. You wouldn’t want such done to you; so be truthful, don’t behave in an unethical manner with trust that has been given to you. Do what is expected of you. There are houses that are wrong and houses that are right. Psa 119:86-105. Jos 24:15.
Acts 16:30-33. With that being said, we ask. “Is your house right?” Just in case you haven’t a clue as to what makes a house right, listen to this. If you are male; do you show God fearing leadership which directs the family correctly? Is your house in church on Sunday? Have you obeyed the gospel, being baptized for the forgiveness of sins? Acts 2:38. Acts 22:16. Are you married to the woman in your house? Are your children born into a legal marriage? Are you having bibleclasses in your home teaching the children how to behave and become productive citizens of the future? Do you have fits of rage, swearing, smoking, drinking, hanging out in the streets and your children know it? Once again, I ask; “Is your house right?” Many problems come from bad houses where no one is teaching or doing what is right. So, I ask. Is your house a breeding ground for the future problems? “Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.” Eph 4.25 There are some who cannot be trusted with anything that comes out of their mouth. Every time they tell you something, you will need to fact check 10 times. The trust that we should have in the word of our fellowman disappears because there are individuals out there lying all the time. The bible attempts to keep the value of one’s word alive by teaching mankind to know truth and speak it only. Jesus Christ said that lying is a trait from the Devil because Satan is the father of lying. Gen 3.4. John 8.44. Trying to impress people is not a reason to lie. Fear isn’t a reason to lie. Wanting to do what you want and be somewhere you shouldn’t, isn’t a reason to lie. Shun lying, because liars end up in Hell. Rev 21.8 here to edit. “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue in the things which thou learned and been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Tim 3.13-16. Everyone is tired of hearing about all the crime in cities everywhere and we wish it would just go away. But how can that happen if people are moving farther and farther away from God. Because of the lack of interest in God, man is reaping the results of his deeds of disobedience. But there is a way to make lives better and that is by returning to the scripture as our guide. If we do that, we will save more souls and even as more bullets fly, we will be secure as children of the Lord. As for the rest of the world, they will destroy themselves because they have chosen to reject the word of God. “The church doesn't have Bible classes for young children, and I have young children, so my husband and I will not be attending there.” Another couple says, “we see that the church has no Bible classes for young children, but we like it and they have to start somewhere, so we're going to have our children form the first class at this church.” Another person says, “this church meets in an apartment, they don’t own a building, so I will not be attending there.”
Another person says “this church is meeting in an apartment, but every church starts somewhere, so I'm going to attend and one day we'll get out of the apartment and find a better place.” Here are two examples I've given you of what church shoppers say about a local church. I wonder which decision pleases the Lord? Matt 18.20 Halloween is here and for those who believe in Ghosts haunting the earth;
that belief will only become more intense. But such ought not be the case. Halloween is just another holiday day where people dress in costumes and give candy. However, man needs guidance, something to show him direction and shine light on the issues which confront. So that is where the Bible comes in. People can better themselves by having faith in the word. Heb 11:6. Psa 19:8-10. Mk 9:21-23. Psa 119:105. The scriptures are God’s speech and He teaches that the dead don’t spook the living. 2 Tim 3:14-17. Eccl 9:4-6:10. Job 7:1-10. Job 10:18-22 . Psa 103:13-16. 2 Sam 12:22-23. At death the spirit of man is removed from earth and taken to Hades to await Judgement. Jas 2:26. Heb 9:27. Psa 90:10. Lk 24:5. Lk 22:42-43. Acts 2:29-32. Lk 16:19-31. Ignorance of what the Bible teaches leads many to believe things and a highly creative imagination has cause many to think they hear and see things. Acts 17:22-27. But if one believes the word of the Lord, he will be secure. Pro 1:29-33. Psa 34:10. 1 Pt 2:2-6. Ones word is his bond; so do you complete what you say? Or do you tell lies? Some people lie all day long and they are so good at it, they can smile and cough at the same time. Pro 14:5. Let us not be champion liars, but people who only speak if able to deliver what is promised. Pro 30:8.
Everything that comes out of ones mouth will fall on the ears of someone who will be relying upon what has been spoken. And just that fact alone should make every one determined to make good on what is spoken. If you don’t mean it, don’t say it and you won’t get in trouble for it. Eccl 5:1-5. There is just too much of this nonsense going on and too many ruined people walking around because of it. Pro 29:12. Zech 10:2. Ez 13:22. Jer 29:31. Jer 23:32. Evil is active because the heart of man desires it. Jas 1:14-15. Matt 15:18-20.
Murders, robbery, bribes, and bad conduct exist in schools because those who commit such acts see it as the solution. Gen 6:5. Gen 13:13. 2 Tim 3:13. People everywhere are talking about how terrible crime is and how unruly young people are. But evil cannot exist when each person decides to do what is right and that is how evil can be is eliminated. Jonah 3:4-10. To put a dent in evil, men must repent by accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ. Luke 13:3. Rom 6:17-18. 1 Cor 15:1-2. But here lies the problem; people refuse to accept the gospel and it is the only hope for man. Tit 2:11-14. 1 Cor 6:9-11 Rom 10:13-21. Rom 1:16. However, this must be considered first. 1. One must get himself right, for man cannot change others, if he isn’t right himself. 2. Realize that some will not obey the gospel but will continue to contribute to the woes of the world. 3. The gospel still must be taught to all with the hope of converting some. 4. The young children growing up must be taught the gospel, so they don’t become tomorrow thugs. The application of this will put a dent in evil. |
