Gay marriage is a much talked-about topic these days. But when taking notice of what people are saying in the newspapers and other media outlets, opinions are the reason for the speaking. When I say opinions, I mean people telling how they feel on the subject of gay marriage. In other words we are living in a time when "every man is doing what is right in his own eyes," (Judges 17:6). Want to know what is wrong with that? Man is fallible and cannot direct his steps (Jeremiah 10:23). There can be a way that seems right to a man, but it can be the way of death (Proverbs 16:25). The only sure way is to see things God's way and God's way aren't the ways of man (Isaiah 55:8–9; Luke 16:15).
Ask yourself this, "why aren't people saying, "what does God think about redefining marriage?" After all, marriage is God's creation, not man's. God ordained marriage from the beginning, and He assigned male and female to be in this union (Genesis 2:18, Matthew 19:4). God isn't pleased with common law marriage, gay marriage, or marriage with beasts, should anyone plan on going that route. "What God has joined together, let not man put asunder," (Matthew 19:6).
