We live in secular times when it isn't popular to speak of the Bible. Satan has deceived a large number of the population into dismissing the word of God from our public life (2 Corinthians 4:1–6). It's not politically correct, they would say! That is pitiful indeed because only the word of God can save and direct this sinful world in which we live (Jeremiah 10:23–24, Psalms 111:1–10).
Mankind is drowning in the ocean of sin and has refused to grab the precious lifeline, the Bible, and has grasped the anchor of Satan instead. The reason the Bible is the greatest book on earth is because it is the word of Almighty God, and it has no contradictions, nor will it steer you wrong (Isaiah 55:11). The Bible isn't like our computers that need upgrades, but rather a person can learn the Bible as a 5-year-old child and that word will be the same on his 92nd birthday. God's word will be standing when heavens and earth are gone (Matthew 24:35, 1 Peter 1:23–25). That fact alone should be enough to cause one to rethink a bad attitude toward the word. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. To ignore is to pay no attention to; to allow a glimpse or word to go in one ear and out the other; to look the other way or go about your business while someone or something is trying to attract you (Judges 11:28). At times it is good to ignore others because they are bringing something not good for you. But at other times, people have made serious mistakes because they ignore something they should have given their attention to. For example, one can ignore the guys approaching from across the street and be robbed by them. One can ignore the stop sign because of talking on a cell phone and be involved in a crash. One can ignore the concerns of a spouse and lose that person by being insensitive.
So not paying attention can be deadly, and the worst thing is to ignore God when He speaks through the teaching of His word (John 12:48, Proverbs 29:1, Prov. 1:20–33; Hebrews 2:1; Genesis 19:14; Jeremiah 6:10, 16–17. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Gay marriage is a much talked-about topic these days. But when taking notice of what people are saying in the newspapers and other media outlets, opinions are the reason for the speaking. When I say opinions, I mean people telling how they feel on the subject of gay marriage. In other words we are living in a time when "every man is doing what is right in his own eyes," (Judges 17:6). Want to know what is wrong with that? Man is fallible and cannot direct his steps (Jeremiah 10:23). There can be a way that seems right to a man, but it can be the way of death (Proverbs 16:25). The only sure way is to see things God's way and God's way aren't the ways of man (Isaiah 55:8–9; Luke 16:15).
Ask yourself this, "why aren't people saying, "what does God think about redefining marriage?" After all, marriage is God's creation, not man's. God ordained marriage from the beginning, and He assigned male and female to be in this union (Genesis 2:18, Matthew 19:4). God isn't pleased with common law marriage, gay marriage, or marriage with beasts, should anyone plan on going that route. "What God has joined together, let not man put asunder," (Matthew 19:6). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. For those who wish to become a better person, we suggest reading some verses from God's word.
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. A man needs to be a man! In life one can hear of many sorry men living off women, and some of those women are senior citizens. What kind of able bodied male would depend on his girlfriend, wife, sister, niece, aunt, grandma, or mother to care for him? A low down, pitiful, despicable bottom feeder! These guys are one of the worse life forms walking this earth. They see nothing wrong with lying in bed all day, watching TV, hanging on the corner with their buddies, or sitting at the bar drinking and playing cards, while the women are out there working hard and taking care of the house.
Hear now, all men who refuse to work. When God created the world and placed man in the garden of Eden, the first thing God gave Adam was a job—his job was to dress and keep Eden in shape (Genesis 2:15). When God drove man from the garden, he once more told him that he would have to work and not be a bum (Genesis 3:17–19). And to all females who are making the mistake of taking care of some lazy guy, God's word teaches, "if any will not work, neither should he eat." (2 Thessalonians 3:10).
