We live in secular times when it isn't popular to speak of the Bible. Satan has deceived a large number of the population into dismissing the word of God from our public life (2 Corinthians 4:1–6). It's not politically correct, they would say! That is pitiful indeed because only the word of God can save and direct this sinful world in which we live (Jeremiah 10:23–24, Psalms 111:1–10).
Mankind is drowning in the ocean of sin and has refused to grab the precious lifeline, the Bible, and has grasped the anchor of Satan instead. The reason the Bible is the greatest book on earth is because it is the word of Almighty God, and it has no contradictions, nor will it steer you wrong (Isaiah 55:11). The Bible isn't like our computers that need upgrades, but rather a person can learn the Bible as a 5-year-old child and that word will be the same on his 92nd birthday. God's word will be standing when heavens and earth are gone (Matthew 24:35, 1 Peter 1:23–25). That fact alone should be enough to cause one to rethink a bad attitude toward the word.
