This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
A few years ago, John Travolta played an angel in the movie, "Michael." Remember that movies are just acting, and angels don't commit gluttony, drinking, smoking, fornicating, or even falling in love with women (Matthew 22:30; Mark 12:25; Revelation 21:27; Rev. 22:14–15;1 Corinthians 6:9–10; Galatians 5:19–21; 1 Peter 3:1–2). Angels are spirits—they are the messengers who stand in the presence of God because they are holy (Matt. 4:6–11; Hebrews 1:7; Luke 9:26; Psalm 104:4; Luke 24:39; Matt. 18:10; Matt. 25:31; Mark 8:38; 2 Thessalonians 1:7).
Angels are active daily, carrying the dead into hades and protecting the righteous and the wicked (Luke 16:22; Psalm 34:7; Acts 12:15; Job 20:29; Matt. 5:45). Angels cannot be seen by humans unless God allows it because spirits have no flesh and blood (Numbers 22:31; 2 Kings 6:17; 1 Chronicles 21:16). No one knows what angels look like in their glory because when they appeared to people in the Bible they took the form of men. So the wings and the halo are all inventions of men, just like the devil with horns, cloven hoofs, a pointed tail, and pitch fork.
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
