This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
It would be my hope that people will simply consider Halloween as a good time to celebrate by eating candy and having some clean fun. But I'm sure that some people will take it too far and do some things which they ought not. Vandalism, getting drunk, and believing in the dead walking the earth, etc. In certain parts of Mexico, the people down there believe in the dead returning, and they even place food around for the dead. Thus we have what is known as the "day of the dead," which falls upon November 1st. I want to give these scriptures to you so you can read them and approach this week with knowledge from God's word.
Ecclesiastes 9:5–10--The dead know not what the living are doing, for they are finished with all things done under the sun (Job 7:9–10; Psalm 103:13–16).
2 Samual 12:23--Ghosts don't return to earth, but we shall die and go and be with them (Luke 16:24–26; Luke 16:22; Psalm 90:10).
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
