I been studying the Bible for years, and I have never seen in God’s word that the church must change in order to fit into a progressive world. In other words, “church you either change or get left behind, ending up on the wrong side of history.” All this is ridiculous! The church is to teach the infallible word of God which lasts forever (Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:22-25). God isn’t on the same page with men because He doesn’t think like men (Isaiah 55:8-9). Mankind is in sin, so God gives us His word, which cleanses us and shows us how to be holy as He is holy (Psalm 14:2-3; Romans 6:12-18; 1 Peter 1;13-16). What is suppose to be happening is mankind is to give up sin and change to fit what the word of God said and not the other way around (Rom. 12:2; 1 Pet. 1:14).
Just look at what is going on today. There is a new generation that doesn’t know God (Judges 2:10). This generation is doing what is right in the eyes of men, promoting all kinds of sinful things, and they have no clue that the road leads to hell (Proverbs 16:25; Matt. 7:13-14). God is everlasting and so is His word. Man is the one who needs change. The word which the church preaches is infallible and cannot be refuted. So the church doesn’t have to change to fit anything—people must hear the word and change to fit the word. So, let the church preach the word, and listeners make change as the word instructs (Psalm 90:1-2, 12:6-7, 119:89; 2 Timothy 4:1-5). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. A man of faith running for public office is often targeted with questions about his beliefs and how such will affect his job performance. First of all, anyone running for public office would be insane to refuse help from God (1 Kings 9:2-7). But understand this, God is only going to help those who are faithful (Psalm 34:8-17). So if a president desires help from God, he must be doing what is pleasing to God. For there is no way that God will bless a President who is passing laws that are in conflict with His word (Proverbs 14:34, 11:11; Psalm 33:10-22; 1 Kings 15:25-26, 16:29-34).
If homosexuality, abortion, and gambling are contrary to the laws of God, no person of faith in public office can approve of such things. A man of faith is to live by what he knows is right in the eyes of God (2 Chronicles 26:3-5). Also the President will have the best interest of the nation in mind if he vetoes bills that establish sinful practices (2 Kings 18:1-8). Our nation is supposed to be a Christian nation founded upon religious principles. So why do we get angry and suspicious of a person with morals? Could it be be that most of us have no morals, and we are threaten by those who do? Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Don’t stay away from church because you are poor. (There is no admission charge). Because you are rich. (Money isn’t all). Because it is cold and rainy. (You go other places in bad weather). Because it is hot. (So is the beach and golf course). Because no one invited you. (People go lots of places uninvited). Because of hypocrites. (We have them everywhere). Because you have relatives from out of town. (Bring them along). Because you have children. (We offer Bible classes for them). Because you think your clothes don’t look good. (God isn’t concern about that). Because you don’t like the preacher. (You shouldn’t hate anyone). Because the church is always asking for money. (We don’t do that here). Because you think that you have plenty of time. (Life is short and uncertain) (Psalm 144:4).
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before before the Lord” (Psalm 95:6). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. It’s too bad that some spouses get mad because the other makes more money, and this is especially true when it concerns some men. There have been wives complaining about husbands who detest their ability to earn more. But as long as the wife is doing her duty as a wife and not neglecting the husband or the home, and the money goes to help everyone; what is the big deal? (Proverbs 31:10-31).
I’ll tell you what the big deal is! Some people just have to be the main event. Some people are jealous of anyone who is more successful, and that is just plain wrong (Genesis 4:3-7, 37:1-11; 1 Samuel 18:5-15; Matthew 2:1-18, 27:18; Mark 15:10; Romans 13:13, 1:29; 1 Corinthians 13:4; Galatians 5:26; 1 Peter 2:1; Titus 3:3; James 3:16; Phillipians 1:15; 1 Timothy 6:4). Two working persons in a marriage will not make the same wage. Someone will earn more and the other less. Everyone should accept that and be thankful at the success of the combined incomes which help both persons live a more comfortable life. Stop being jealous, it’s wrong! Hope to hear from you or see you at the services The trumpet that will announce the end of the world will be a shocker! I cannot imagine what the volume of the blast will be like, but be assured it will be loud because the sound will be heard around the world! (Matthew 24:31; 1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:7-11).
For those who don’t have a clue as to what I’m talking about, allow me to tell you that regardless of what the atheists say, count on hearing a trumpet from heaven announcing the world is ending and for all to stand before God and be judged (2 Cor. 5:10). Also on that Day the dead will be raised and they too will be judged (John 5:28-29). To anyone who hasn’t been taught about God, life after death, etc, this might sound like fiction. But ask yourself, ’Don’t you think men must pay the piper?” (Hebrews 4:13). Man can live on God’s green earth soaking in His goodness and not have to face Him one day? No, fiction is believing the opposite, that one can enjoy something that doesn’t belong to him and not have to answer for it. Yes, that is the real fiction. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. |
