Supreme Court Justices cannot decide what God has already decided. In the beginning, God created man from the dust of the earth and made woman from the rib of the man for companionship (Genesis 2:7:21-25; 1 Corinthians 11:8-9). By doing this, God introduced man to the institution of marriage. You see, there is no such thing as “traditional marriage.” There is only marriage, in which God provided the opposite sex, so that man could produce after his own kind and not be alone. So, this is what God has provided for the benefit of man and God said it is good (Gen. 2:18; 1:27-31; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:9).
The Supreme Court Justices are men, and they, along with people, need to be conforming their lives into harmony with what Almighty God has given us. The Supreme Court Justices cannot decide what marriage is because it isn’t their union to do anything with. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. What is a vow of poverty and where did the thought come from? If one is teaching what the Bible said, he couldn’t teach such a thing because it isn’t in the Bible! The Bible demands that one speak as it instructs (1 Peter 4:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:15). God desires that no one be in poverty because He tells men to work with their hands and not only supply their personal needs; but be ready to help others (Ephesians 4:28; 2 Thess. 3:10; Galatians 6:10; Hebrews 13:16).
So, there is no such thing as a vow of poverty in the Bible—it’s not scriptural. Instead it is the doctrine of man, and no one should live like that (Mark 7:6-9). Let us speak where the Bible speaks, let us be silent where the Bible is silent, let us call things by Bible names and let us do things in Bible ways 1 Timothy 4:16). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Why has Philadelphia had so many hit and run car accidents recently? Two young girls ran over and left lying in the streets like trash! Is human life worth the same as rodent road kill ? A hit and run driver will go to Hell if no repentance is done (Luke 13:3; Matthew 25:41-46). Burning in hell forever is horrible and the driver will regret it (Revelation 20:10, 21:8; Mark 9:42-48; Matt. 13:49-50).
In order to repent, a driver must turn himself in and accept whatever consequences await him. But people shouldn’t be doing foolish things in the first place, like not paying attention to the road, driving drunk, texting or talking on phones, and driving at high speeds which make stopping impossible. People need to wise up and not put themselves in situations by which they will be wrong; and flee hoping to escape the punishment due them (Proverbs 11:5; Galatians 6:7-8; Colossians 3:25). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not; for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Mark 10:14). In Genesis 42:22, Reuben said; “Didn’t I tell you not to sin against the child”? Both verses speak of the value of children—the innocent ones who depend upon adults to care for them. However, some adults behave badly and put children at risk. The Bible calls upon adults to treat and raise children in the right way. Which means no murdering, injuring, or neglecting children.
Adults must teach children by word and example. And not only that, but also having them educated in secular studies and taking them to church so they can learn about the Lord (Ephesians 6:1-4). And guess what? Parents will learn too. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. People show their contempt for the law by littering. The law of the land teaches man not to litter because it’s costly to clean up. It disgraces landscapes. It has no respect for the property of others, and it shows that a person can see a trash can and understand what the can is for and still refuse to use the trash can. And last but not least, the law simply said, don’t litter! By refusing to pick up one’s own trash, a person proves he has a heart that is contrary to what is right that has no place in a law-abiding society.
So what does all of this mean? It means we are talking about callous, selfish persons with no regard for authority. And since littering is built upon all such things. Littering issinful. It is sinful because it violates what the Bible teaches about proper conduct among men (1 John 3:4; Psalm 119:158; Romans 13:1-5; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 12:17-18; Luke 6:31; 1 John 5:17; Titus 3:8; Titus 2:12-15; Philippians 2:3-5).
