People show their contempt for the law by littering. The law of the land teaches man not to litter because it’s costly to clean up. It disgraces landscapes. It has no respect for the property of others, and it shows that a person can see a trash can and understand what the can is for and still refuse to use the trash can. And last but not least, the law simply said, don’t litter! By refusing to pick up one’s own trash, a person proves he has a heart that is contrary to what is right that has no place in a law-abiding society.
So what does all of this mean? It means we are talking about callous, selfish persons with no regard for authority. And since littering is built upon all such things. Littering issinful. It is sinful because it violates what the Bible teaches about proper conduct among men (1 John 3:4; Psalm 119:158; Romans 13:1-5; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 12:17-18; Luke 6:31; 1 John 5:17; Titus 3:8; Titus 2:12-15; Philippians 2:3-5).
Hope to hear from you or see you at the services.
