Many criminals claim to have no fear of death. They carry guns and use them and also are blown away themselves at times. But guess what? Satan has these thugs fooled! They are evil human beings and every child of the devil should be afraid to die. The reason is because after death only the Judgment Day awaits (Hebrews 9:27). The evil doers will have to answer for all their deeds done, and nothing will be forgotten or hidden (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 20:12–15). Now imagine that you have been killed by a motorist while trying to car-jack his auto. Your last deed in life was attempted auto theft! My friend, you will be doomed to the burning fires of hell for all eternity (Mark 9:43–48). The last act speaks volumes of where a person is going to spend eternity; therefore make sure it is the right act! Death is no picnic for those who don't know God (Isaiah 48:22; Revelation 14:13). It is the final stamp on a person's life and there is no change after death (Eccl. 11:3). If one dies in his sins, he will not spend eternity with God (John 8:21). Yes, all thugs are stupid! They have chosen a life that will get them a first class seat in the hottest fire imaginable, and they don't have sense enough to realize it! Evil doers should be afraid to die because unrighteous souls won't enter heaven, and if they aren't going to be in heaven, they will be in hell (1 Corinthians 6:9–10; Galatians 5:19–21). And chances are their homies will be there with them, but they won't be having a good time "chillin" or "kicking it." You know, I better take back the "kicking it" part—they will be "kicking it" but not for relaxation but for pain. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. What do you believe religiously? Do you have scriptures to substantiate your beliefs? Here are some of the things we teach and the scriptures we believe that authorize them.
Churches must teach the truth and cannot add to that truth with creed books and commandments of men (Mark 7:7). If you wish to study the Bible, we welcome your request. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
So you have some money, you live well, you buy what you want and go where you want. You think you are better than most people because of your education and financial status. Well, think again! And to the struggling person who doesn't have money, living from paycheck to paycheck, you cannot live in a nice neighborhood or buy what you need; and forget about going on a vacation—no money! You are feeling bad about yourself because you believe everything is against you and life hasn't treated you fair. Well, think again! The rich man's greatest enemy is his wealth because if he isn't humble, the love of that wealth can keep him out of heaven (Luke 18:24; 1 Timothy 6:9–10). The poor man's greatest hurdle is having faith in God while enduring a life of poverty (Psalm 40:17, Proverbs 28:6; Luke 21:2–3; Revelation 3:17; James 2:5). God is the Creator, and He said there will be rich and poor people (Exodus 30:15, Deuteronomy 15:11; Mark 14:7; Prov. 22:2). But it doesn't matter to the Lord if one is rich or poor, for he shouldn't be measured by what is in his wallet (Luke 12:15). On the day of Judgment, rich men like Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and Warren Buffet will be standing side by side with poor people before the throne of Jesus Christ to answer as to how they lived while on earth, and one's net worth won't mean a pinch of salt on that day (Luke 12:20, 16:19–23; 1 Timothy 6:7; Psalm 48:15–20). So don't boast of your net worth and don't cry because of your zero worth, but seek what pleases God so you will have treasure in Heaven that shall not pass away (1 Tim. 6:17–19; Matthew 6:19–21, 19:21; Job 1:21; Prov. 30:7–9; John 6:45, 14:6; Acts 4:12). "Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and sea! For the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath because he knoweth that he hath but a short time," (Revelation 12:12 KJV). Reader, Satan wants to deceive you so that you will burn in Hell with him for eternity (Revelation 20:10). But in order to fool you the Devil must trick you in some way, and he shouldn't be under estimated (2 Corinthians 2:11; 1 Peter 5:8). Looking at the world today, one must give the Devil his due because he has done a fine job deceiving many people into believing and promoting acts of sin which should be clearly wrong to all. Consider how many believe in abortion, secularism, homosexuality, porn, sex before marriage, shacking up, profanity, lying, cheating, drinking, gambling, not raising their children, not going to church, or even believing in church, etc. These are just a few of Satan's devices, but the multitudes who believe and promote them are innumerable (Matthew 7:13–14). This is true because many love serving the devil, and I don't mean standing in the dark woods around a burning mark of the occult chanting, "hail Satan!" I mean loving things that are contrary to the Lord's word and enjoying their lives that way; for that is serving Satan since one is doing what Satan wants (Roman 6:16). Man will reap what he sows, and if man lives in violation of the law of God, be assured that man will lose his soul (Galatians 6:7–8). And by the way, if you are an atheist, you make Satan's job of deceiving easier (Psalm 14:1). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. I wonder how many people go to church to worship the preacher? To these people the preacher may not utter one scripture during his sermon, but they still think he did a great job! To these people, they can be shown what the Bible said about a topic, and rather then accept the Bible, they will go and ask their preacher. These people feel their preacher can do no wrong and if their preacher said it, it must be right! Such is the doom of a flock who places confidence in man rather than the Word (Jeremiah 17:5–9; Isaiah 9:16). The Apostle Paul had this problem because people started to worship him, and he had to put a stop to it (Acts 14:11–15; 1 Corinthians 1:12–13; 1 Cor. 4:6). Apostle Peter went to the home of a man to teach him and that man fell down at Peter's feet, but Peter told him not to do that because he (Peter) was a man also! (Acts 10:25–26). Understand that the preacher is not Jesus or God the Father. The preacher is a sinner just like everyone else, and he will be judged by Jesus on Judgment Day and either be invited into heaven or cast into hell (Revelation 22:12). So, don't worship the preacher or call him "Reverend" which is God's name (Psalm 111:9). Don't call him "Father" "Rabbi" or whatever because Jesus said all men are simply brethern (Matthew 23:1–12). Look to the Bible for your authority, and if you can't find it in the Bible, leave it alone! And when the preacher doesn't preach the Bible, you better leave him alone, too (Jer. 23:13–40). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
Just when you think it has been all said, someone comes along and shocks you again. Hollywood has a movie coming out next month that claims Jesus married and raised children, and currently there is an author on the talk show circuit pushing his book which claims that Jesus didn't die on the cross! Now one can choose to believe this junk or one can shun it because the Bible gives no evidence to any of the claims made by these persons. If you believe the Bible, you will, with faith, accept what it teaches as the word of Almighty God. As for Christ having a wife, no such thing is in the gospels, that's just like saying He sold horses on the side. Even the people saying these things admitted they couldn't 100 percent prove it; so why say it? As for Jesus dying, that is why He came to earth and if He didn't die, allmankind is in sin and hell bound! (John 3:16–17; 1 John 2:2; John 1:29; 1 Peter 1:18–25; 1 Corinthians 15:12–23). The author on a recent news show, spoke much about Pontus Pilate, yet the very Bible which he read in order to know about Pilate shows that he knew Jesus was dead (Matthew 28:57–66; Mark 15:42–47; Luke 24:1–8; John 19:31–42; Acts 2:22–35; 1 Cor. 15:3–8). The conclusion to all of this is, "these men do err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God," (Matt. 22:29). In life we will hear many foolish things, but if we stay with the word of God and speak only as it directs, and remain silent where it remains silent, we will stand on a foundation that lasts forever (Matt. 24:35; Matt. 7:24–25; 1 Peter 4:11; Jeremiah 23:26). Change is not something that people like to do because it requires work and going into unfamiliar territory. But change we must, if we expect to see God's face in peace on Judgment Day. Man isn't born with a relationship with God. That relationship must be formed by man accepting God's plan of salvation and by doing that, man establishesfriendship with the Creator (John 15:10, 14; John 6:45; Romans 6:1–18; John 8:31–32; 1 John 2:3–6). The warning from God to man, "is repent or perish," (Luke 13:3). Repenting isn't a matter of opinion, but it is a very necessary act (Acts 17:30). Look at this verse, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God," (Matthew 5:8). Being pure in heart is a quality one obtains by conforming to the principles of God's word. Now the flip side is, one who isn't pure in heart, won't see God. Here is another verse, "Be ye also ready, for Jesus will come when you think not," (Matthew 24:44). Getting ready to meet Christ means applying change or be lost for eternity (Matt. 25:46). Consider yourself as you are right now; are you willing to make a change? I mean not change to what you want but changing to be as God expects you to be. If one wishes to go to heaven, he or she must change because the only way a person will get to heaven is to live God's way (Matt. 7:21; Revelation 22:13–15). If you are convinced of your need for change, we can help. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. This is only for people who believe the Bible to be God's word.
Driving brings out the worst in people—all the impatience, not being considerate, rudeness, wrath, thinking you are above the law, and rushing to get from here to there. Ask any state trooper who has seen his share of highway wrecks, and that officer will tell you that everyone of those evil attitudes lead to crashes. Drivers will honk at a person who won't turn at a light when the sign clearly says, "No turn on red." Some will speed up when another desires to change lanes, rather than hold back and let the person who wishes to change lanes to do so. Speed limit signs are invisible to some; the sign might as well say 80 MPH rather than 55 MPH because they are driving 80, and it's not going to be any other way! Some honk and curse at other drivers who might be a little slow when pulling into a driveway or parking lot, and that isn't necessary. There can be two cars at a light, and a third car will drive past the two and go right through the red light! And don't mention a light changing from yellow to red—the drivers traveling at 40 MPH are going through if the light is yellow, red, if pedestrian is walking into the street, or whatever! The Bible contains verses that every driver should read and reflect upon before getting behind the wheel. Read these verses and prevent a lot of trouble for yourself and others (Luke 6:31; James 1:19; Luke 21:19; Ephesians 4:31–32; Philippians 4:6–7; Eph. 5:18; 1 Peter 2:13–15; Romans 13:1–5). The interest in pornographic material is big business in this country. Just last year, the movie companies in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles reported record-breaking revenues from their industry. It is too bad that some people take great interest in producing porn and marketing it because porn is a blemish on society, and it operates in the same manner that drugs do. The drug dealer produces his drugs then puts them on the market so they will flow into communities, destroying lives physically and most definitely spiritually. Man can not please God if he is taking illegal drugs, and those who desire porn cannot please God either. Porn promotes fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and addiction. Many people say they have a right to view whatever they want in their home or wherever such is permitted. That I won't argue with—but let me add something these people don't think about—God will judge one's deeds on the Judgment Day, and if God hates porn, He will condemn man on that Day (2 Corinthians 5:10–11). Say no to porn—get away from it and keep your mind focused on things that are good, honest, and of good report (Philippians 4:7–8; 2 Timothy 2:19–22). Here are some things for youngsters to think about. Don't be sassy or disrespectful toward your parents. Don't lie to, nor steal money from your parents. Don't follow bad examples set by your parents and others, be your own person in that realm because you will have to answer to God yourself. Stay in school and study hard and make something of yourself. Don't take drugs and stay away from people who have nothing positive to offer. Choose your friends by what they are, not by what they have. Don't select immoral actors and athletes as your role models; select people who are serving the Lord and setting examples of holiness. Start going to church and studying the Bible. Wait until marriage to have sex because sex before marriage is sin; and if you face peer pressure, remember one can overcome sexual tension through the teachings of God's word. There are far too many teenagers having babies and messing their lives up early, so don't join them in such chaos. Don't smoke, use profane speech, cheat, back stab, or be lazy. Plan your goals and work toward them. Put God first, and He will help you to succeed. Here are some scriptures for you to read (2 Timothy 5:22; Titus 2:6–8; Mark 16:16; 2 Thessalonians 3:10; 1 Corinthians 6:18; 2 Peter 3:10–13; 1 Peter 2:13–14; Romans 16:16; Proverbs 4:13–27, 6:20–35; Matthew 5:27–37; Philippians 4:8; Ecclesiastes 12:1; Prov. 15:3, 23:22; Romans 12:17–21, 13:8–14).
