The earth won't be destroyed by the Americans and Russians firing nuclear bombs at each other. Nor will it be destroyed by man polluting the ozone to the point that all life suffocates.
Earth will be destroyed only by God who is the creator (Genesis 1:1). That will occur on the day the world comes to an end known as Judgment Day, and on that great day the Lord will destroy the earth with fire (2 Peter 3:9-13; 1 John 2:17; Mark 13:31). Judgment day is the day all men will stand before God and answer for the deeds of their life (Matthew 25:31-46; Acts 17:30-31; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7; John 12:48; Ecclesiastes 12:14). The reason man cannot destroy the earth is because God said he would be the one who does it, and the Lord doesn't lie (Hebrews 6:18). Another reason man cannot destroy the world is because God has structured the earth so that it cannot be undone by man (Jeremiah 32:27; Luke 1:37; Heb. 1:10-12; Psalm 104:5. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Many are having a hard time battling all the different problems like poverty, lack of schooling, sickness, loneliness, drugs, crime, etc. It is impossible for man to beat these things without the help of Jesus Christ. He is the strength of all men, and he has shown his great love and concern for us by wanting to carry our load (Philippians 4:13). However, he will only do this if a man is willing to receive him (Matthew 11:28-30; 1 Peter 5:7; Revelation 3:20).
For those who don't believe in heaven or hell, they are in big trouble. These people are on a road to destruction which they can only change by excepting Christ (Matt. 7:13-14, 25:46). But many have no interest in God—they frown at and curse those who teach the gospel. They also are in big trouble because they are in their sins and only by contacting Jesus´ blood can one be saved (John 8:21; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:19; 1 John 1:6-10). We surely hope you will study this material and become a Christian because time is running out. Let us hear your questions and comments, and we hope we can see you at the services this Sunday. Christ has one church which he built centuries ago, and it is the one he will save on the last day (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 5:23, 1:20-23, 4.3-6). In the Bible we can read of the church that Christ built being active long before these modern churches of today, proving that they started too late to be the right church (Acts 5:11-14, 11:22, 13:1, 16.5).
Not only that, but today's churches began in the wrong place because the true church was founded by Christ, built on Christ in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost (Matt 16:18; 1 Corinthians 3:11; Luke 24:47; Acts 2:1, 47). Take notice of the origins of these churches, also many more could be mention but these will prove the point:
Research the origin of your church, remember to be the true church it must meet with the ID marks of the true church. This is very serious, for all man made churches will be rooted up, and you don't want to be in one of them (Matt. 15:13-14). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. In order to make a better tomorrow for our sons and daughters, a wise parent will teach what the word of God has to say about sex (Proverbs 7:1-5). God introduced the sex act to man and animals in the garden of Eden (Genesis 1:20-22, 1:26-28). God placed the sex act within marriage because that is where He wanted it. The sex act isn’t left up to man to decide where it may be found and the reason is because man didn’t create his sex organs, so he has no say in the matter (Gen. 1:27, 3:16; Hebrews 13:4; Prov. 5:15-20; 1 Corinthians 7:1-4; 1 Timothy 5:14; Matthew 19:4-9).
The world is very liberal when it comes to sex, and we are trying to get the world to leave this destructive path of teen pregnancies, children born outside of wedlock, a boy disrespecting a girl after having sex with her, someone getting raped, homosexuality, child molesting, sex with animals, movie sex, sex with hookers, etc. (1 Cor. 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Ephesians 5:3-4; Galatians 5:19; Colossians 3:4-7). Our young people seem to think that they must be sexually experienced before marriage, and that isn’t so. Becoming skilled in sex is to be learned within marriage because that is the way the Almighty commanded it. Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. It is hard to believe that some churches in this area used last Sunday as Barack Obama day. Instead of having services to worship God in spirit and in truth, they sung the praises of Barack Obama.
I have only one question to ask. Where is the scriptural authority for any church to cease doing what God has commanded on the first day of the week and to sing the praises of a candidate that has been elected to an office? The scriptures teach that the purpose of the church is to come together and worship God, doing what pleases Him on the first day of the week (John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4; Acts 20:7; Ephesians 5:19; Acts 2:42). There were elections during the times of the New Testament, but the church didn’t cancel worshiping God to give honor to a candidate. If you can prove such by the Bible, provide the proof. Scripture...................................? If those people wanted to sing the praises of the president-elect; why didn’t they do so on their own time and with their own resources? (Mark 12:17). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord," Ephesians 5:19 KJV.
From the scripture we learn that the praise offered to the Lord is to be done by songs which teach of His glory and greatness. We also learn those songs are to sung by all in the service, and not by a choir or soloist. By looking at the rest of the verse, we see the music is made with the human heart and not instrumental and by that I mean on a piano, guitars, etc. The instructions here are clear and easy to do, but it will depend upon the attitude of the people. In the past, God gave His orders on things and man always seems to find a way not to do what the Lord commanded (1 Samuel 15:10-11; Matthew 7:21-22; Romans 10:20-21). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. Are you puzzled by differences in religion? God is too. All these churches didn't come from God because He doesn't authorize division (1 Corinthians 14:33; Philippians 3:16; 1 Cor. 1:10). Take a moment to read Matthew 16:18 and see how many churches Jesus promised to build. According to the scriptures, the church Jesus built began on the day called Pentecost in the city of Jerusalem (Acts 2:1-47; Luke 24:46-47). According to the rest of the Bible, Jesus is both the head and foundation of His church (Colossians 1:18; 1 Cor. 3:11).
The church is like the ark, it serves as the housing for the saved, and those outside the church are the unsaved (Acts 2:47; John 10:9. Ephesians 5:23. Col. 1:13). All these different churches and only one Bible—doesn't add up! It is possible they all could be wrong, but no way are they all correct (Luke 6:46; Matt. 7:21-23). Are you sure that your church is the right church? Can you prove your church by the Bible? Have you ever seen the name of your church in the Bible? (Romans 16:16). If such is the case, how can you say that your church is right? Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed to the Word of Almighty God (Psalm 119:9).
All across our land, young men are making the headlines for being shot dead or put in jail. It seems the way of crime is very attractive to them, and that is a shame because without repentance they will spend eternity in Hell. Some are too far gone, and they will suffer the consequences of a wasteful life. There is hope for others, however (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12; Jude 17-23). As the Psalmist wrote, a young man can get his life on the right track by obeying the word of God (1 Corinthians 15:1-2; Hebrews 5:9). Satan has poisoned the minds of men to believe that the Bible will cause them harm (2 Cor. 4:3-4). But the truth is, living a life without Bible teaching is where the harm comes. The Bible teaches that we should be a good citizen, be responsible, have a job, not have babies out of wedlock, that we should not sell drugs or doing other illegal activities, not have gun battles, etc. How is this a threat to a person unless that person wants to do evil? Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. "Lay not up for yourself treasures on earth, where moth and rust occur and thieves break in and steal,” (Matthew 6:19). "Rather lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth, rust or thieves can take it away,” (Matt. 6:20).
Jesus said the most important thing isn’t money; instead it’s doing the will of God (Acts 8:20). The past few weeks have shown how our money can be here today and gone tomorrow. We must not make money our main goal in life and anyone who has, is suffering badly because of the stock market. Now that doesn’t mean that we aren’t to be concern about money; because saving for retirement and being fixed on Christ is one thing, and going though life with no interest in God is another (1 Timothy 6:10:17; James 5:1-3). Money is great to have, but we shouldn’t be obsessed with it because it cannot save us nor can we take it along after death (1 Timothy 6:7). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. For those raising children about two-years-old, you are now in the best position to teach godly values to your son or daughter (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
Number one, you are the parent, and never give that control over to the child and make sure your child knows that. Number two, set a wonderful example before your child and have your child follow that example and make sure it is the way of life in your home. Number three, make sure that your child understands disobedience carries punishment, and urge him to learn from the words of warning, rather than learning after suffering the consequences of wrong doing (Colossians 3:25; Proverbs 22:3). Number four, make sure that you understand that the word of God authorizes parents to discipline their children, and that you should do so in a manner that is pleasing in the eyes of the Creator (Hebrews 12:9; Prov. 22:6, 13:24, 19:18, 22:15, 29:15). Finally let me say that, having God and His word as part of your life is more important than anything. We cannot have great homes and neighborhoods without the infallible word serving as our guide (Psalm 119:105). I also know that people don’t want to hear about the Bible, but let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4; 2 Timothy 4:1-5). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. |
