Nations thoughout the world are facing severe economical hardships. Foreclosures and unemployment appear to have no end in sight. So what are we to do? One thing we cannot do is give up hope, for we must believe that things will get better.
Man needs to continue the search for a jobs and homes because once a person stops, all hope stops. The words, “keep hope alive” means that hope must be stimulated, it just doesn’t stay within man, but by believing in a better tomorrow, that hope keeps churning. Man must not be too proud to do what he may have never done before. For example, if working at Burger King was unimaginable; a man must be prepared to work there. In other words, the phrase “Ain’t too proud to beg” is the way to go. And last but not least, remember to make time for God. In the past, there has been too much emphasis on making money and no time for the Lord and that kind of conduct must stop (Proverbs 1:20-33; Deuteronomy 28:1-68). There has been a lot of talk and investigation about the Amtrak train crash which killed 8 and injured about 200 people. And rightly so, there should be lots of talk and much investigation because people are dead or injured!
We heard the engineer was driving too fast at the Frankford Curve, and that might have been true. But there is another thing which supposedly took place that fateful night which makes no sense and has no right to be found on earth. That stupid act is throwing rocks at the trains traveling that route! How in the world could anyone do that? Such an act endangers operations and places lives in jeopardy. No one has come forward and confessed their part in the rock throwing and I don’t suppose they ever will. But the Lord will deal with them in His way and at His time. Be it known to those rock throwers that they helped make the tragic events of that night come to past. May it bear on their conscience about the lives ruined by their so-called just having some fun with stones. The word of God teaches men will reap what they sow (Galatians 6:7-8; Proverbs 26:27). Hope you won’t forget this message. Here are four things that men will not be saying once they end up in Hell.
Hope you won’t forget this message Thomas asked Scott why he doesn’t use profane language, to which Scott replied; “it costs more then I can afford.” Now maybe you are puzzled by all of this, so allow me to explain what Scott meant.
Scott had some knowledge of the word of God, and he knew that words aren’t free. Like a credit card, man’s use of them will have to be paid one day. Jesus Christ said, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment, For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matthew 12:36-37; Jude 14-15). Scott doesn’t use profanity because he doesn’t want to answer to the Lord on Judgment Day and have those words condemn his soul to a burning Hell. Next time you hear someone use an obscenity, be sure to remember what you have learned today. Can that person afford what they just said? Hope you don’t forget this message. In 2 Samuel 13:1-20, we read of a man who met a girl, sweet talked her, had sex with her, and afterward treated her like a dog! This happen centuries ago, and it is still happening today because some females are just too gullible. These women are suckers for sweet talk and a smooth smack-talker will sweep them off their feet.
And after the sex, these women will see that they have been used. Ladies wise up! Talk is cheap! Where is the substance in the man? You must respect yourself because if you don’t respect yourself, no man is going to. Here are somethings I hope you will keep in mind, before you take that man to meet your parents are or get very serious.
Hope you will pay attention to this message. In order to be helpful to others, one must be people-friendly and have the desire to serve. Jesus Christ said that He came not to be served, but to serve, by offering Himself as a sacrifice for many (Matthew 20:28).
This same kind of spirit should be found in men everywhere. People should devote themselves to go out each day and make someone’s day brighter. Make someone else smarter. Make someone else into a better person. Make someone correct, by freeing them from the error of negative thoughts and false dogma’s which enslaved many in bondage. Put out the fires, not start them. Put money in the pockets of men and not rob them of it. Make smiles on faces, not frowns. Mentor minds, not destroy them. We don’t need a multitude of people to do any of what has been said. All we need is a few who are willing to start today, by making the example of Jesus Christ alive and well. Hope you will pay attention to this message. “In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine the commands of men” (Mark 7:7).
There are churches that teach the eating of certain meals for so-called Holy days, holidays, or other days of the week. In the Old Testament the people were commanded to eat certain foods (Leviticus 11). But we are not under the Old Testament any more. We are under the New Testament (Hebrews 8:6-13; 2 Corinthians 3:6). Under the New Testament, any kind of food is good and can be eaten, providing we give thanks (1 Timothy 4:1-5). Another law made by men is “denying marriage to priests.” In the New Testament all Christians are priests with Jesus being the High Priest (1 Peter 2:5,11; Hebrews 4:14-15). Since God did not authorize the office of priests as some teach, the ‘no marriage’ rule goes out the window. However, notice who can marry according to the Bible:
People seem to pick the wrong solutions to ease their pains. With suicide you don’t escape your problems—you create new ones. The person died committing self murderand after death there is no repentance (John 8:21; Galatians 5:21).
Many turn to booze to ease their pain but that doesn’t help. After recovering from the hangover, the problem is still there and probably will be worse because of the drinking (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Isaiah 5:11; Proverbs 23:29-35, 20:1). Many turn to selling drugs and prostitution, hoping to escape their poverty. Drugs are the scum of neighborhoods, and it is sinful to use them (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Rom. 13:11-14). A woman in need of money uses her body to arouse men at strip clubs or sells her body having sex and such is fornication and will be condemned on the Judgment Day (Proverbs 6:23-35; 1 Cor. 6.15-20). The way to deal with problems is to commit our lives to God so He can give us peace, and that will happen if one is for real (Matthew 11:28-30; John 14:6, 6:45). Hope to hear from you or see you at the services. “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able” Luke 13:24.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:22-23. From our study of these scriptures we see that some church people will be going to hell. Nothing can be worse then spending life thinking that one is right, only to be told by Christ how wrong they really are. Following false doctrine will destroy a lot of church people, because false doctrine isn’t the word of the Lord, it is error, and the Bible warns against it. Therefore, dear friends, since you have been warned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position as many will find themselves. 2 Peter 2:1-3, 3:17. If you are considering doing something bad: like fornicating with somebody, Stealing, Committing fraud, Murder, Smoking weed, Beating someone up, Getting revenge on someone, Posting something stupid on line. etc. etc. etc. Don’t do it!
As the late Nancy Reagan, once said: “just say no.” And as simple as it seems, that is indeed the answer. Just don’t do dumb stuff. Evil stuff. Stuff that will haunt you for years to come. Slow down, catch your breath and use the mind that God gave you. Nothing is done without a price and everyone will reap what they sow. Such is not Karma as people say. It’s just God’s word proving to be true (Galatians 6:7-8; Ecclesiastes 12:14). Consider what it is you may have in mind to do and ask yourself the following questions. “Would I do this if others knew I was doing it?” Is what I’m planning, something I could recommend to others? Is what I plan, something that will uplift my value, and the value of others around me? Will my partaking of this act, send me to heaven or to hell? |
