When you are ready to get right with God, I would like you to read the following scriptures. Acts 2:36-42. Acts 8:35-39. Acts 16:29-33. Acts 9:17-19. Acts 10:47-48.
Afterwards ask yourself three questions.
We have heard it many times before, a house burns down and people suffer injury or death. But then we see a fireman saying “there were no working smoke detectors in the house”.
Those words cause us to lament the lost of life or health, because none took the time to do what was needed in order to protect themselves. Well, let me use that example in another way. The bible which is the word of God, is our smoke detector. Do you have one? And as for batteries, are you doing what His word commands you? You see, it is one thing to have a bible in your house, but a totally different thing to be doing what it teaches. Luke 6:46. John 15:14. John 8:31-32. If we can be of help to you in learning God’s will for your life, let us help you with a bible study. Acts 8:26-40. Acts 16:11-15. Acts 17:11. Some aren?t sure if God exists or who He is. I want to press their minds with some thoughts if I may. First, this world is just too well set in motion to be simply here by chance. For example, can a toothpick just come from nothing? Can a clock come from nothing? Can a jar of jelly just appear and have no creator? Now if you believe this world came from nothing, you must also believe these inferior things also came from nothing. And if not, why not? Design is the strongest evidence of a creator; and when design is present and when things function or perform with accuracy, one can be sure of a creator. (Just think about the engine of a car.) God is introduced to man through the bible, as well as by simply considering the earth and heavens which are the works of His hands. Rom 1:19-20. Psa 19:1-6. Psa 97:1-12. There are many great works of art, buildings, sport teams, movies, etc. These all have one thing in common; a creator! If you are interested in learning more about God, feel free to contact us. John 6:45. Isa 54:13. Heb 8:11.
God bless America! Sure, that sounds great, but can it happen?
In the bible, we learn that God is very pleased to bless any nation that follows His word, doing what is pleasing in His eyes. Pro 14:34. Pro 16:7. Psa 33:12. Pro 11:11. Pro 10:27. God was even going to bless the city of Sodom with life, if He could find 10 righteous people living there. Gen 18:32-33. God also, blessed the houses of wicked men because they had righteous men living on the premises. Gen 30:27. Gen 41:54. Gen 39:1-6. But, God said that he wouldn't bless a mess. In other words, if a nation does sinful things. God won?t bless that nation. Instead He will curse it. Deut 28:15-68. God bless America is a great statement; but only if America is doing right. |
