People need to wear a mask. It will save lives. So why not wear one?
A woman might say, "It will ruin my makeup and I want to look pretty/" Really? What if you get coronavirus and end up dead; how pretty will you be at that point? A man might say, "A mask makes me appear weak." Nothing could be farther from the truth. Wearing a mask will keep a man alive so that he can be strong and help the weak. If this virus gets into a man, it will cripple him bringing him to his knees and possibly killing him. Wear the masks men and women! In the Bible, we can read of a lifeline given to people which if they complied, it would keep them alive. Poisonous snakes went on a rampage and bit many and some died while others were on the brink of death. A snake made of brass was erected on a pole and if any bitten person would simply look up at it; that person would live. If I were alive during that time; I would tell people to save their lives and look at the snake made of brass! Num 21:5-9. In closing, warnings are out there every day. It takes wisdom to appreciate the words. Let us heed warnings so we can be safe from danger. Pro 1:31-33. Here are some facts about heaven. Saint Peter, will not be stationed at pearly gates welcoming people in. That position will be carried out by Jesus Christ on the day of Judgment. Matt 25.31-34. The people in heaven will be those who obeyed the will of God. Matt 7.21. The people in heaven will be those who were baptized for the forgiveness of sins. The people in heaven will be those who were members of the right church. Eph 5.23 The people in heaven will be those who gave their life for the gospel. Acts 7.55-60 The people of heaven will be those who placed value on living holy lives.
1 Peter 1:14-16. If you haven't done any of this; you will not be a citizen of heaven. We are living in a COVID-19 world and based upon the belief that the virus was sent by God to punish men for sin. Deut 28:59-61. However, Christians are very concern because after all the suffering and death; some still don?t get it. Rather than talk about getting close to the Lord, some are talking about going back to normal, which means the same old sins that brought the wrath of God upon us in the first place. Rev 9:20-21. Base on that, I don?t see God removing this virus off the earth yet. I believe it will be with us for a long time because men still don?t give the glory to God. Dan 4:31-32.
In the bible, God sent plagues and He removed them after repentance and sorrow from the people over their sin. If we want the corona to go away, men need to repent by doing the same thing. Jonah 3:4-10. Gen 18:32. Jer 18:7-8. 1 King 21.25-29. Men talk about finding a cure for the virus and believe me, that would be great news. But God may surely prevent our scientists from achieving that cure. 1 Sam 23.14. The only way out of this thing is repentance. All need to repent and turn to God; for if not; we will surely perish. Luke 13.3. Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is the promise of His coming? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 2 Peter 3.3-4
Time must end at some point and God has appointed a day in which He shall judge all men according to their works. Acts 17:30. This is going to happen, so we might as well get ready to meet our Maker. Romans 14:11-12. Some men think it is a joke that the Lord will end all that we know and afterwards send some people to heaven and others to hell. But such will be the case. Matt 25:46. God isn't effective by time. Psa 41:13. The centuries can come and go and those years are only like a day to Him. 2 Peter 3.8 However, men are effective by time. Days weeks, months and years can test the perseverance of any person; that is why men scoff at the thought of a Judgement Day because of the passing of 100 or 200 years. . But men are wrong, Judgement will come as a thief does. Mark 13:32-37. 1 Thess 5.2 A Christian isn't a hypocrite. Yes, there are hypocrites claiming to be Christian, but every tree is known by its fruit. Jas 3.11-13. Matt 7.16-17.
The word of God teaches how one can become a Christian and what one does to remain faithful. In the bible, the New Testament is where we see the church established by Christ and people becoming members of the church. Mathew 16.18-19. Acts 2.1-47. Acts 16.13-15. Acts 16.26-34. Living according to the scriptures is what a Christian does. That is done because the scriptures teach that we must live as the Lord commands and believers submits to that word. 1 Peter 1:22-25. Acts 18.8 Living a Christian life isn't for everyone. Many don't want their lives controlled by the Lord. And you know what? That's alright. God doesn't want to be with those who don't want Him around. And when a person rejects the word of God. That person has made the decision not have God in his life. On the Day of Judgment, all men will be judged according to their works. Rev 20.12-15. 2 Cor 5.10. Matt 16.27 Then the chief butler spoke to Pharaoh, saying: "I remember my faults this day. When Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and the chief baker, we each had a dream in one night, he and I. Each of us dreamed according to the interpretation of his own dream. Now there was a young Hebrew man with us there, a servant of the captain of the guard. And we told him and he interpreted our dreams for us; to each man he interpreted according to his own dream. And it came to pass, just as he interpreted for us, so it happened. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him." Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.
Recently, a man was released from jail and won a million dollar verdict because he was imprisoned for a murder, he didn't commit. I'm glad he was set free. No innocent person should spend one hour in jail. But this newly released man didn't do as the cup bearer in the Genesis account. He said he wants to learn law and work to free from jail other innocent prisoners behind bars. We hope he can make that difference in the law. Psalm 131.1-3. O Lord, my heart is not lifted up my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me, O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time on and forevermore.
There is a line from a Clint Eastwood movie, which said, "A man gotta know his limitations." With that statement I agree. Know your strengths, know your weaknesses and when you do; there will be no standing where you ought not Being a Christian is like saving for a rainy day. You know that sooner or later you will need it and by having it, you save yourself tons of grief. Death and Judgment for man is certain; all will give account for their existence, so one must have Christianity to be able to stand. 2 Cor 5:10. Acts 4.12.
Since Christians recognize they will stand before God, it drives them to make the most of their time on earth. It drives them to persevere and overcome challenges. It drives them to pray fervently to God for everyday help and strength. It drives them to educate themselves in the scriptures so that they will know what God expects from them. Christians spend a great deal of time with other Christians and miss them greatly when they aren't around. This is so, because every time Christians are with ungodly people it isn't inspiring for them. Christians want to be around others who are going to heaven and can also help them go to as well. Sort of like the saying, ?birds of a feather, stick together?. I?m sure you get what I mean. To all Christians, keep up the good work. When you stand before God on Judgment Day, you will see that all the hardship you endured on earth was well worth it, because you didn't fail your faith. It doesn't take much to removed from this earth. Life is very fragile, so no one is safe and no one can plan a long life because it isn't certain. Since we have no control over what happens in future hours, we will waste no time discussing it. What we will talk about is getting ready to meet the moment when life ends and the Judgment begins.
Acts 16:30-34 30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household."32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God he and his whole household. This is what everyone needs to do to get ready for the moment when eternality takes over. Today is the time, don't put it off any longer. Decide to give your life to Christ by doing what the jailer did. After his baptism, he was a happy man, because he knew he did what was needed in order to save his soul. If the soul is saved, the uncertainly of life, no longer matters. Oh Lord, who may live in Your tent? Who may live on Your holy hill? He who walks without blame and does what is right and good and speaks the truth in his heart. He does not hurt others with his tongue, or do wrong to his neighbor, or bring shame to his friend. He looks down upon a sinful person, but honors those who fear the Lord. He keeps his promises even if it may hurt him. He gives money to be used without being paid for its use. And he does not take money to hurt those who are not guilty. He who does these things will never be shaken. Psalm 15 New Life Version (NLV)
