To the Supreme Court of the United States of America,

Highest greetings to all of you trusted officials of the bench. Thank you for your service.
I write today because I have a few words to say about your upcoming meeting in which you shall discuss Marriage. I am the preacher of the Mt Airy church of Christ in northwest Philadelphia. Being a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have an obligation to speak on things which the word of God gives information about.

You are the Supreme Court of our great land, and no one can deny that fact. However, you are not the Supreme Law—that honor belongs to God. The subject of marriage, the divine institution created by God himself and given to man for man’s benefit, is off limits as far as tinkering by man is concerned. Marriage has been defined by God as a union of one male and one female, and it does not matter how much man shouts and debates, that plain, simple fact will not change. God has set the standard and no court on earth or state in the world can redefine what God has set up. As the marriage line goes, “what God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Our world has departed from the word of Almighty God. Our world does not care what the word of Almighty God has said about marriage, and most people surely do not want to listen to a preacher of the gospel explain how far they have drifted away from the Bible.

And yes, there are churches that have also given in to the gay advocates’ agenda and are now teaching false doctrine claiming that gay marriage is all right.

According to the word of God, there is no such term as “traditional marriage.” The word of the Lord teaches that there is only “marriage,” and this is a union between a man and woman.

So, as you get ready to come together next month, I remind you that we all have the Bible, the word of God. We all need to accept what it defines as marriage and not give in to the wishes of a nation of people who want to authorized a union that God did not authorize.
