Have you thanked the Lord for helping us out with the corona virus? We are all talking about getting back to normal, so don’t you think it is only proper to give thanks to His great name? The vaccines have His wonderful touch and are helping put the plague to an end. We really need to give thanks to His holy name. He could have allowed us to continue to suffer without any hope of seeing light at the end of the tunnel; but He didn’t do that. Instead, He heard the prayers of His faithful children and sent the vaccine as an answer to prayer. We really need to give thanks. Will you slow down enough to just take a moment and give God the praise? Are you listening?
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness and come before Him with joyful songs knowing that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, for we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues in all generations.” Psalms chapter 100

A man decides that he won’t have sex with his girlfriend until they get married; and the girlfriend cannot accept his belief. According to the word of God, the man is doing what God wants. God created sexual relations and placed it within the marriage fold. Gen 2.23-25. Gen 3.16. 1 Cor 7.1-5.
He teaches in His word that sex outside of marriage is called fornication and all who don’t repent of fornication; will go to hell. 1 Cor 6.9.18. Heb 13.4. 1 Thess 4.1-8. Eph 5.3-4. By refusing to have sex, the man proves that he fears God and understands what His command is. 2 Tim 2.19. Gen 39.6-12. On the other hand, the female is either ignorant of the law of God or just doesn’t care what the scriptures teach. Pro 5.3-23 When a nonbeliever is dating a Christian, that person must decide if they will be able to compromise for the Christians belief. The nonbeliever must be the one who gives in, because a person following Gods law cannot forsake what God commands to please someone who has no love for God. Acts 5.29. Gal 1.10. If the nonbeliever cannot do so, he or she needs to leave the Christian alone and find someone who believes as they do. Amos 3.3. Psalms 1.5 Here is an example of the gospel of Christ being obeyed. Let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah,[a this Jesus whom you crucified.” When they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers,[ what should we do?” Peter said “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him.” And he testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who welcomed his message were baptized and that day about three thousand persons were added. They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2.36-42
The question for you is, have you done what these people did When the cat is away, the mice do play. And so, the saying goes. It is quite often that people will betray the trust that others have placed in them by using money, property,, automobile or some other valuable in a way that wasn’t authorized.
For example, a person is told to watch the house while the owners are on vacation. But the house sitter brings girls, men or friends over and the owner didn’t give permission. In another situation, a person is supposed to repair a car and rather than repair or even after the repair is done, they go joy riding in the car. The owners gave no permission for such abuse. It is the caretakers who decided to take advantage of the owner absence. The word of God teaches us to work for our fellow man as if we are doing the job for the Lord Himself. Col 3.23-24. It teaches us to obey our employers. Col 3.22. The word of God teaches us to treat others as we wish to be treated. Luke 6.31. The word of God teaches us not to be deceitful and not to lie. 2 Cor 4.1-2 Eph 4.24 Also, the word of God, informs us that the Lord sees all the deeds of men. Heb 4.13. When a caretaker abuses trust, he is in violation of all the above and in danger of damnation. John 5.29. The thing to do is your duty. Don’t be deceitful behind someone back. You wouldn’t want such done to you; so be truthful, don’t behave in an unethical manner with trust that has been given to you. Do what is expected of you. When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Acts 8:18-22
Out of all the silly things, one might do; trying to buy the power of the holy Spirit fits right at the top of the list. Peter told Simon that no amount of money can buy the gift of God. Man is crazy about money, but not God, for He doesn’t need it. Don’t let money rule you nor think that it is the answer to everything. And the false statement, “everyone has a price”. No! Some of us don’t have a price; we love the Lord way too much. Having obeyed the gospel gives the faithful an edge as man goes though all the troubling times which has locked itself over the earth. Obeying the gospel has caused the faithful to be free from sin and able to have a relationship with the Creator. Roman 6.1-17. God will look out for His own and He won’t allow more than the saints can stand. 1 Cor 10.13. Psalms 37.
The world will probably be suffering for a very long time, because God doesn’t watch the calendar; for time means nothing to One who is eternal. My advice is to obey the gospel of Christ, so you can get clean from your sin and have a relationship with the Lord. After that, dig in deep, wait and keep the faith. God will do His work on the earth until He decides it is enough. 2 Samuel 24.16 In Mark 8.31-33, Jesus rebuked Peter, because he disrespected the word that was spoken concerning death on the cross. Peter loved the Lord and meant well; but being overly concerned that caused him to reject the word spoken by Christ and viewing it as not making any sense. Peter couldn’t imagine Jesus being arrested, abused and killed by wicked men. “No, Lord, he said; this won’t happen to you.”
Jesus was highly offended that Peter would question His authority. Jesus called Peter, Satan and said he only respected men and not God. The lesson is to accept what God said. It might appear questionable; but accept it. Don’t question that He doesn’t know what He is talking about; because that is what Peter did. Jesus said, the words He speaks are spirit and they are life. John 6.63 While I was going though the neighborhood passing out religious tracts inviting people to church services; I came upon a grumpy man out working in his yard. Good day sir, I said. He snarled; What’s good about it?
I replied back, “much.” Number thing is your ability to work in the yard. Also, being alive and healthy are great. But far better than that is the truth is being brought to him today. I have information which proves God loves him He thanked me, took the information and went back to work and I walked on down the street. I don’t know what he will do with the truth he has been presented. But that day was indeed a good day for him even if he didn’t recognize it. I hope that man doesn’t describe you. Why do you hate the Lord? What in the world are you talking about? I’m speaking of anyone who doesn’t have the time or interest for God. And you know what? That makes up the majority of the population.
God said that those who refuse to heed His word; hate Him. Pro 1.29-30 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord. They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof. “Heed instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts. For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord. But he who sins against me injures himself; for all those who hate me love death.” Pro 8.33-36 So, there you have it. Hate for God is evident by refusing to obey Him. If you aren’t obeying the word of God. You hate Him. My son, if sinners entice you, don’t consent. Proverbs 1.10.
Reader did you hear that? Do you understand what the word of the Lord has instructed you to do? Don't think that it is not possible; you can do it, the Lord wouldn’t have commanded the scripture if that wasn’t the case. Many are in all kinds of trouble because they didn’t say no. You must refuse to participate in that which is wrong. There will always be people trying to get you to do something wicked. But if you know that it is wrong; tell them to go away. Because if you participate, it will only get worst. Think about it, there are proposals to take drugs, to sleep with someone, to steal, cheat on taxes, get drunk. etc I can go on and on with all the different kinds of temptations, but enough has been said. Read scripture over and over. It's a very simple message. Refuse to do wrong. Gen 39:7-10 |
